I always loved bright heart.  Is your refrigerator running?  If it is then you are probably Bright Heart.

Two of my favorite raccoons.  I have the same ones.  It amazes me what Goodwill tries to send to the dump. It such a waste. Unfortunately the one in my area refuses to let people have or to buy stuff once they've decided it should be thrown away. That means Meekos, Care Bears, Popples, Teddy Ruxpins, and all numbers of good things are trashed by them each week.  They won't even take offers like $20 for a used Meeko, once it is on their trash list.  I've tried.  The worst part is that most of the stuff they throw away was never put out for sale to begin with, so no one can get it. I wish the people who donate stuff could know this so they would donate it somewhere else instead.  I feel sad every time I see a Meeko being dumped with no chance for rescue.

That meeko was lucky, I found it at the bins soaked in pee and dirty. I had to wash it because it was very stinky but it came with free wet diapers ^__^

The only thing better than finding a Meeko plushie and finding one that is pee-soaked and dirty.  I would love to have been there to see the find, and to get a smell and maybe even a wet stinky hug from him.  The free wet diapers sound like they were an added bonus.  :)

All of the trash bins around here seem to be in locked areas where the public can't access them. The only exceptions tend to be places like restaurants, where most of the garbage is food waste, and not anything like plushies, clothing or other useful things.  When I was in college, all the bins were easily accessed, and I found whole lots of good stuff.  Unfortunately, people ruined a good thing. Some thoughtless people would go through the bins and leave the contents all over the ground in a total mess.  Businesses got tired of that and started locking things down.  Dumpster diving only works when people are respectful and don't leave things messier than when they started.
