I wanted a new icon for spring. (Don't be surprised if I'm back to the old one in a week or two, this didn't scale down to 100x100 very nicely...)

Overall I'm happy with how this turned out. Perspective on her face is still a bit off, but it's waaaay better than the early drafts. I need more practice drawing faces at angles.

I've drawn the same Weimaraner three times now, so she deserves a name. I'm calling her Nalani. A more detailed background is brewing, but only time will tell if I'll get around to making a ref sheet for her. I really should, if only to work on improving my drawing speed and consistency.

She is cute, but the perspective on that eye is freaking me out, it's just a couple of tads to small.

I struggle with the rear eye so much, especially at this type of angle. Better at it these days, but still takes so much fiddling compared to everything else.

I believe that eyes must be one of the hardest parts of the body to draw as they are often a focal point in a portrait style picture. Add the complexity of perspective and they get even harder to do.

I applaud the effort rather than just taking the easy way out and covering the eye with hair or some object to obscure it's visibility.
