April 2nd will be National Ferret Day, a day where we celebrate national ferrets all over the world. Or all ferrets, because ferrets are awesome.
I just can’t resist bringing the Ferret Williams comic back on such an important holiday. My life has gotten to a point where I can once again put some time into the comic, and my main ideas file has enough scripts for 2 years worth of comics(at 2/week), and only half of those ideas are outlandishly out of date or otherwise unusable. Prepare for some references to memes from 2014, which I had no idea were actually from 2012.
With a new beginning comes a new, mobile-first design. I know most of you consume content on phones and tablets now, and really, newspaper-style layouts were never optimal for vertical-scrolling interfaces in the first place. All new Ferret Williams comics will fit mobile devices better and even look spectacular on 4K monitors while they’re at it. For art-sharing sites, I might adjust the aspect ratio differently.
Kenny and his associates will also be back, in glorious black and white. I can now include single Kenny comics without messing with the chromatic consistency of the archives. …Plus it’s like 4x faster to only use black and white. Mostly though, it’s because it just wouldn’t fit in.
