Hello I am making NieR: Automata OCs 8)

Or as I like to call them
YoRsona (I'm sorry this is very bad)

Why "35"?
I dunno. it's a neat number and there aren't any known (or named) no.35 in canon material.

SO YEAH
There is no real reference as to what kinda outfits type H wear, but judging from the YoRHa Boys stage play and the fact that no.9 (Healer) doesn't seem to wear anything specific (compared to the others on the mission (excluding the commander)), I'm guessing that it must be the same for female models.
From what I know, other than for Operators, and the Heavy Armor, outfits seem to mostly just follow a theme/style. So I took some liberties here ;O

I'm planning a Scanner oc, too, and will probably doodle my friends' characters once they got them designed.

So glad I wasn't the only one who had tossed around an OC for the Automata world. Never really drew mine or anything but I really like this! Great job~

Now I don't remember much but I really liked the A model(s?). I kinda liked the idea of basically a B with long hair, kinda? But I really like the ones that report to their companions in the field (now, of course, I can't remember half the letters lmao)

Maybe I'll come up with something here soon!

Hair isn't really a limitation! The types are pretty much just specializations (models A (attacker) are discontinuated (merged with g (gunner) to create B(battler)) so a type B with long hair is totally possible!

And I'm guessing you mean Scanners. The boys who collect intel and don't really fight (the only male models, for reasons explained in a play bc Yoko Taro likes his intensive side material )

I do like the S models! Their outfits are so fun!

But, dummy me, was thinking of Operators. I always enjoyed that 2B's operator was basically bubbly like 9S and 9's was like 2B. :P

Have you drawn up a Pod yet?

Oh!
Yeah Operators are good!!

Haven't drawn a pod yet, but will for sure eventually!

Pods were some of my favorites! Like, I didn't think a flying little box could be so sassy lol

I look forward to it!

So what's your review of Automata? I'm curious about your spin on it and if I should buy a copy and add to my sizeable backlog.

My review: was in my top favourites from only watching people playing, made its way to the very top when I finally got to play it myself.

I can't stop gushing about just everything in this game. Literally the only things that I didn't enjoy were camera angles at some times (mostly when fighting enemies larger than the entire screen), and the fact that I can't spend 100% of my time playing it.

I honestly can't recommend that game enough. The gameplay is incredibly fun, and being able to chose a difficulty level is great imo. It also ranges from flying and shooting stuff from a top-down perspective to kicking ass with swords, some bullet hell elements, and even kind of side-scroller-y parts!

The visuals are really great!! Even though there ARE some visual glitches (2B's skirt being a good example as it clips through stuff a lot and kinda freaks out when sitting/laying down but honestly it just amuses me more than anything) the environment just feels so real... And I love the world design in general.

The music is one of the most immersive soundtrack I've heard in a video game. It shifts depending on what's happening, it's beautiful, it's moving. The original NieR already had an incredible soundtrack, and Automata pushes it even further with the variations for each theme. The sound design in general is very enjoyable.

The voice acting is great. Both in english and japanese (haven't heard the others). Without spoilers, there is a scene with a scream and it's just so..... Damn. Daaamn that feels real.

And seriously I'm on the phone right now and supposed to do something else so I'm keeping this short but... Favourite piece of media to date. I've never felt so obsessed with something before. At least not as an adult.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I've always been curious about the franchise (And the one that spawned it) and right now I'm reading a interview with Yoko. Even if I don't get to it right away, I will pick myself up a copy. As someone who has played though the game more then once, by the way you speak, got any tips?

Actually haven't completed a full play through on my own yet ahahah but I read a watched a lot ;D

What I'll say is: Do the sidequests! There is a lot to learn from them, and the whole universe of the game is really interesting!
Other than that... Don't give up after the first ending. There is more. There is more after the second ending, too. A lot more.

Other than that! It is not necessary to have played/know much about the first NieR, but there are things that will make a LOT more sense if you're aware of what happens in it. i.e: recurring characters.
