I sang a sweet song for you. Hummed it on the winds as I watched another piece of us vanish beneath the ocean waves.

A rather big piece.

Something about those chains has a way of doing that.

And I know I tried, lord how I tried for so many days to pretend you were not a part of any one of them. But that's not true.

You were my island, and now you're gone. Lost at sea and beneath the waves. The very last piece of these last few years.

I'm not sure I can remember your voice anymore. But that's okay. I remember the feelings we shared. The songs too.

All I can hear right now is the humming in this prism around me. And...I feel lost again too.
