Ashram was captured by the police, just before turning 18, being someone that never had to deal with police, and thought he didnt have the right to even talk to someone 'superior', he thought the police was going to give him to a new master, he lost all hope, until 'meeting' Espio (he already knew him, but never had the time to interact with him for other things than running away and trying to kill him
