Now for a big change! Let's do a couple of Retcans for a change. Starting with a very special little fellow, non other than Captain Silver's son; Bo. Bo is a "Type Theta" Retcan; an informal name given to Retcans who are a mix between the pure L-Alpha and L-Beta breeds. These are the only two existing breeds of Retcans who exist in the Lusceonis planetary system.

Retcans originated from a small creature that evolved in the main planet Lusceonis Alpha. This planet is mainly tropical, with vast jungles, forests and beautiful green plains. The temperature is mostly warm, with lots of rain during what could be called "winter" and long hot summer seasons. Pure L-Alpha Retcans are sturdy, resilient and physically strong; a bit larger in size. Their fur although very soft, is short and lack an undercoat.

During the time that Retcans evolved in to fully sentient creatures and they finally developed space travel, they ventured themselves to Lusceonis Alpha's twin planet, which they called Lusceonis Beta. These two planets are extremely close to each other, within a very thin balance, where they really don't affect each other. Lusceonis Beta is much smaller and could be considered a moon, however it does possesses a breathable atmosphere and weather system gentle enough to support life. There isn't much in L Beta, however, it proved to be an invaluable source for mining. REetcans eventually brought in modified flora from L Alpha, and soon, L Beta became a planet good enough for living in.

Tenth's of thousands of years passed, and rEtcans who had found a home in L Beta started to show sign of mutation and adaptation. L Beta has a harsh weather, mostly covered in snow and ice. Very few dry plains are found, and this is where usually crops are grown. Retcans showed thicker coats, smaller bodies better adapted for less energy consumption. With time, these Retcans started multiplying and now showing consistent and unique traits, such as the thick coat, lighter colors due to translucent and hollow fur strands that trapped heat, lighter eye and skin colors due to the lesser sunlight and such. They were now the L-Beta Retcans.

"Retcans who are a mix of the two breeds are known as Type Theta and can show characteristics from both types, most predominantly from L-Beta. Bo is one of them.

Bo is known throughout Rage of Lusceonis (R105) for his mellow temper, overall good mood and very loving nature. Most Retcans on board R Series cruisers are usually very serious and often engaged in their missions, often forgetting their true nature for long periods. Bo brings that back into them and has become very loved by his crew members. Most Retcans on board R105 often look for Bo just to spend time with him, talking, close to each other and forgetting the cause of their stress. Being the Captain's assistant, made him well known all around the massive ship.

Ever since they met the Evocanis, Bo has gained the nickname of the Evo-Can, due to how similar his gentle demeanor is to that of the Evocanis. Bo is also the only one who is capable of taming Silver and getting to her light side. Not even the stronger L-Alpha warriors on board R105 or even Titan, Silver's brother, is capable of doing that.

Bo has had a very unique life... Silver fought in the Great War for Lusceonis as a reserve warrior, and thanks to her brave accomplishments with her friends and comrades, she was given the green light to train as an "R Series" cruiser Captain as this is what she wanted the most. Being a much smaller and delicate L-Beta Retcan, she had a lot to prove. One rule however, was that those on board R Series couldn't have family on board as this would be a risk to their judgment.

After discovering that she carried a little Retcan in her, Silver was incredibly frustrated, as she had made a promise to her now deceased best friend (and Bo's father) that she would command an R Series in his name. Silver retired to the lonely mountains in a little village of Lusceonis Beta surrounded by the wilderness of an icy tundra. There, she not only trained, but she could hide the fact that she was a Life Giver. After a couple of months of training, Bo was eventually born.

Bo grew up in this little snowy mountain village with no one but Silver. He was trained by her as he grew up old enough to conceal his young age. Both Silver and Bo became incredibly close and Bo knew no life other than this. The bond between them two had grown like non other, and Bo came to know more of Silver than anyone else before.

As Bo finally reached his adult size, they decided it was time to go back to the big city in Lusceonis Alpha and get ready for their journey. Bo had learned a lot thanks to Silver and they believed no one would discover the truth about him. He pretended to be older and told everyone he met Silver in this little village. He had interest on becoming an R Series crew member and had proven to Silver he was capable of it. He also told everyone that he was at least 20 years older than he originally was. Surprisingly, no one questioned him or Silver, as she had now the power of choosing her crew and her decision was absolute.

Eventually, almost a decade after their journey started, Bo's secret was finally revealed. Silver often feels guilty of making Bo live through this, but Bo never blames her or judges her. He is happy that he can be together with the Retcan he loves and admires the most. Silver is his life, and he feels he hasn't missed anything."
