Super pleased with how this turned out. It took me about 20 tries to get the expression right, and after that everything just came together. Then I realized I hadn't planned a background past the tree and had to wing it. I should play with watercolor brushes more, they're fun to work with.
Shoutout to SmittyG who's been posting some v cute raccoons lately which were the inspiration for this. We need more cute raccoons around here.
A great face, very cute. The way the tail slims down as it passes her butt, sort of makes it look like she was sitting on at least part of it squashing the fur down a bit. Was that your intention? I just would have thought sitting on ones tail might be a little uncomfortable. However I'm not a raccoon so I really wouldn't know.
