Would've been cool if her hands were detached from her arms Rayman style

Is that a wooly worm in her hands?

Regardless, this is a super cute picture. I love how happy they look together, and how enthralled the boy is with the creature in his friends hands. It's such a charming moment of childish curiosity, and it's one of those moments that takes you right back to the time when you were learning about the world around you, too. I was one of those kids who was always chasing bugs or turning over rocks to see what was under them, and I love images that remind me of those times. (If I'm not totally misreading things!) Your coloring work on this is simply gorgeous, and I really like the little sparkle effects in her hands, too. Great work all around!

It is! We call them woolybears here. :3

I was the same kind of kid so I can relate to that! What you've said was definitely my intention with this piece so you've hit the nail on the head! Thank you very much! ♥

Aww, yay! Wooly worms/woolybears were always some of my favorites. I never kept them, or any of the insects I looked at, but it was fun to let them crawl around on my hands for a little while before putting them somewhere safe. The on in the drawing is so pretty, and I love how well you captured their soft, fuzzy look.
