Rarity knows kung-fu. But can she defeat Lyra, master of human style?

This is just a work-in-progress, with poses based partially on Season 2, Episode 2, and partially on The Matrix. Also, my first time drawing Lyra, so I hope I'm able to do her justice.

I bet Kung Fu Rarity gave fits to the guy who is making the pony fighting game. All the sprites he has to re-do! Come to think of it, I wonder if the game was the inspiration for the scene.

I know! All the brainstorming they probably had to do to figure out how to work Rarity's previously-known personality and skills into a fighting system, and BAM! Turns out she already knows kung fu (and can actually hold her own against Applejack in-canon)!

Hm. So Rarity knows kung fu, and so does Applebloom, who we assume picked it up after Rainbow Dash briefly took her to that never-seen-before-or-again dojo. Maybe Applebloom and Rarity are classmates there, or maybe Rarity is the master.

And Rainbow Dash is a black belt... Okay, she's taking karate, technically. So, wait. Ponyville offers kung fu AND karate classes... There's got to be some potential here. Rarity vs. Rainbow Dash! Culture clash! Chinese and Japanese martial arts for ponies! Damn, I wanna see that now, just to compare how the styles would be adapted.

As for Rarity and Applebloom, I'm sure they bonded over some common topics in class... "Lesson 1: Dealing with Sweetie Belle"
