I had this idea that before Decay and Syx's engagement, before they started dating, when they have just started out as friends, Syx is nervous about having his first friend and hanging out with his new friend while Decay being Decay just out of the blue touches Syx's ear because of his lack of boundaries. I don't think Syx would expect it and probably is a personal thing for him if not maybe sensitive. I also don't know what Syx is drinking.
