I know that feeling of being left out for the better part of a decade, but I don't have much left to hold onto, taking me more effort to do those little things. But in your case, you started off with skill and resources that I didn't start with, so you do have hope - there is something you'll be a part of if you keep looking & trying, albeit it seems it's not always what people expect. So I don't know if it will be your projects, or sometimes like I've seen - some end up happy just eventually finding someone then having fun with their friends & hobbies from then on. That seems to be the thing, one has to keep looking & trying, whatever clicks, but also knowing somethings might not last but that simply means not betting everything on a plan, though not quitting, but shaking things up sometimes, trying new things.
I've seen it, people that thought they had no future to look for, but people believed in them, many did find what makes them happy.
