A gyromitra esculenta mushroom that became sentient when a head and body grew around it.
The body itself is spongy yet firm, not unlike the fruiting body of a common button mushroom, with several species of fungi growing from sites where it has been injured or existing mushrooms are removed. Although the type of fungus that grows when this occurs is random, toxic mushrooms will always appear at the site of injury on the head while edible mushrooms will grow from injuries to the rest of the body.
It is also known to emit a constant stream of spores, though the concentration varies. One must be careful when approaching as coming within 10 yards may cause intoxicating or hallucinogenic effects similar to the ingestion of psychoactive drugs.
