Kárin was one my first creations when I had 14 years old, and to be honest I never knew what species she was... As far as I can recall she was some sort of military opertative that had the difficult task to deal with freakish criminals (the kind that has superpowers and stuff), but none of the members of Kárin's team had any kind of power, they were just normal people (I'm still mainting that particular feature about her nowadays since I find it interesting). I never abandoned her as a character, I simply redesign her a few years ago to fit her into my actual style of storytelling
