Hidden Gem

Sinnoh, split by Mt. Coronet in two. A modern region in which Pokemon of many kinds live a normal life. The caves of Mt. Coronet weren't any different. They where home to many Pokemon. For two of them, this day in particular was very Special. A pair of Sableye waiting for there Child to be born. How would it look like? Was it healthy? All of these questions were uncertain since Pokemon had no modern technology on there own.

It has been a week since the moment the parents expected the child to be born, but now finally, it was time. After a typical painful birth for the mother, the father proudly revealed a young little Sableye to his whife. Just seconds later, his mother already held the little male in her arms, holding him close to herself while the father gladly placed his arm around his wife, petting the newborn Pokemon on the head. The new family member just smiled and looked very happy, cooing cutely and childlike. Thanks to the gem on the little guys chest, the name was found very quick. It was rare for a Sableye to have this gems on there bodies. A alexandrite, so his name was decided to be just that.

For a Sableye the life in mount Coronet was a earned Luxury. There where enough gems and eatable kinds of rock everywhere, but to get to them, one had to dig and and the rock in this mountains where much more dense and sturdy, making the digging a real workout. Though mother and father both had a solution. They only dug alone. One day the father would, next day the mother. This worked out very nicely and a good day with a lot of food meant one or even two days free for them.  All in all it was worth it.
But this wasn't meant to last. For nearly a year nothing disturbed the piece-full life of the small family, but then...
One day Alexandrites dad left to look for food. Everything seamed normal and Alex and his mother spend there time for some mother son bonding. But in the afternoon, he didn't come back like usual. Worried about her husband, Alex's mother took her son for a walk to look for what happened or if hes just working harder this time. Alexandrite was already able to walk on his own quite well and he didn't really knew what was going on, so he just held his mothers claw with his own, following her around the Cave.

The search took quite long, but Alex's father was nowhere to be found. Finally a Crobat showed up, knowing what happened and delivering the shocking news: “Your husband, a friend of mine too, he was attacked by a young trainer. Your partners strength posed no threat to the pokemon of this trainer and … he got caught. Im sorry.” The Crobats words threw Alexandrites mother into a deep shock. She just couldn't believe what she just heard, but she knew that would explain why he was gone and nowhere to be found. The more she thought about it, the more she realized what that meant. She and her son where alone. She would have to work double as hard from now on to sustain herself and her son as well.
Slowly the realization got to her. The big emotional hit caused the female Sableye to cry, over the next days and weeks even putting her into a deep depression. The only motivation she had was the small child she called her son, her own kid. Thus she kept going on even if Alex knew something was wrong, something was different and this now making there life much different than it was so far...

Five years later Alex finally found friends. A Zubat and a Meditite. Meanwhile his mother does her best to find the necessary food for them both, but all she wanted was her son to be happy.
One morning Metitite and Zubat where already waiting for him to come out.
“Hey Alex, come on, we found a room full of ice crystals in the northern part of the Cave. Lets check it out!” Meditite said, eager to get to it.
Alex didn't wait for them to call a second time, rushing out to them quite excited himself: “On my way!”
There usual greeting was just a energetic high five and this wouldn't change this morning. Just minutes later the curious young Pokemon found themselves at the entrance to the room Meditite mentioned. But right the moment they looked inside, they also got shocked. The room wasn't empty anymore. Nothing less than a Trainer in his twenties was training in here. Not just that, but he was training a fire Pokemon by using the glimmering interior for target practice.
The Flareon, the Pokemon that was getting trained, didn't seam to enjoy this any bit. While the three children could just watch a beautiful room like that getting destroyed, the trainer just gave more and more orders, becoming more and more demanding. But he wasn't just demanding, but finally he also revealed how abusive he seamed to be. Threatening his Pokemon with no food if it didn't at least slightly satisfy his demands.

The kids kept watching, but it was rather scary for all three of them. After nearly the entire afternoon of this, finally the trainer took his Flareon and left, leaving a half melted, half destroyed room of wasted beauty. Slightly saddened and disappointed, the Children stared at the result.
“T-those trainers, they look dangerous.” says Zubat, slightly scared, his voice shaky even.
“I just want to show that guy whos the boss!” added Meditite with a very angry tone in her voice.
“If that's how trainers are, I will never let anyone catch me even if my life depends on it.” Alex said, he was obviously very shocked from what he witnessed, never to be forgotten ever again...

Despite the shocking event they witnessed, Alex, Zubat and Meditite calmed down quickly over the next few days and even though they never forgot about it, they still enjoyed there every day lives. Though this friendship, it wasn't meant to be forever. Two years later, Alex was seven years old now, the life for him and his mother didn't change at all. The only difference was that Alexandrite grew to a average size for his age.
This day he was spending with Zubat alone. They where wondering where Meditite was and waited just in case she would show up on there usual spot to hang around and play. Not too long and their waiting payed off. Meditite showed up at last and quite excited as well: “Hey guys, you know what?I was OUTSIDE the cave and you wont believe how much more fun it is to play out there! Grass, low and high. Trees, flowers and a lot of completely different Pokemon than there are living in here!”
Zubat and Alex just look at each-other for a moment before back at Meditite, speaking at the same time: “Show us!”
Eagerly they headed towards the next exit of the Cave, somewhere there parents told them to avoid going because it was “too dangerous”, but alas, they didn't listen. All three of them, outside, the grass under there Feet and Claws for the first time as well as the warming light of the bright sun warming them and blinding them for a short time until there eyes got used to it.

Meditite didn't lie, the nature was a incredible sight for the three kids from the caves. A impressed “WOW!” escaped Alex as well as Zubat. They started exploring a small part of the outside world right away. Smelling flowers, feeling the grass, laying down on the soft floor and letting the sun warm there bodies.
After a bit they found a small, secluded part of grass, surrounded by rocks all around but a small passage leading into it. Since it was so well hidden, they decided to make this there new favorite spot to hang out and this is where they wanted to meet every day from now on and they did. Next morning they did more exploring before just relaxing around there favorite Spot. But this time they didn't stay alone.
A small group of four Pokemon, all teenager by the looks of it, appeared on the Spot the three kids called there new favorite place to play at. The “leader” seamed to be a quite strong looking Gabite. He approached the kids with a smirk on his face. “Well now, what do we have here? You all seam like folks I would meet in the mountain-caves, aren't you a bit young to leave them all on your own?” he asked, not really taking them too seriously, “Anyhow, you know, this is our place. Out here its either join us or fight for it … or well, leave.”
Meditite stepped closer: “Join you? You think we could?” she asked, tilting her head a bit thoughtful.
The Gabite chuckles: “Well, we aren't your parents, but our club can always use more Members. And with a little help, all of you can make great ones as well. But that needs training. Something we do on a daily bases to become and stay the Strongest group of Pokemon around here. Are you up for it or are you running away back to your dark, boring cave?~” his voice making it a rather one-sided question, the three kids agreed and just a short time later, they where already getting instructions on how to battle, how to get stronger and how to not make a miserable impression “like a wimp” would as they call it.

The next day, Alex and Meditite where doing some practice. Though shortly after the sun started to brighten up the whole area a bit more, Zubat noticed a … change: “Ähm … Alex? Do you look more … gray today? Did you get yourself dirty or...?” he asked, leaving space for Alex to respond.
Now that his friend pointed it out, his fur indeed seamed to be less purple like Sableye fur usually is.
“Hm, I dont know, maybe I got a bit dirty when training or something.” Alex says, not being all that worried.
They stare for a bit but end up shrugging it off and getting back to the training.
While it didn't seam too severe, shrugging it off was the last thing Alex thought of right the next morning. He looked at his claw and arm and straight up screamed in shock. His mother ran to him, not believing what she saw. Her sons fur lost nearly all its color. Only the slightest bit of Purple was left, looking more gray than anything.
“M-Mom! W-what happened to me?!” he asked in pure panic and shock.
“I-i … I dont know, I never saw any Sableye like this hun, i-i...” she just stared helplessly, unsure what to do.
With panic, Alex left his home, running right to the neighbor, Bronzong. He was known in the cave to have high intelligence and being the best source of information about Illness and if possible solutions for them.

Bronzong took a close look at the small Sableye in front of him that was about to cry. After a few minutes of Scanning the little creature with his psychic powers, he came to a conclusion: “Hm, it seams like you have a error in your DNA. The pigmentation of your fur and skin is sensitive to light, bleaching out by exposure. That means, your fur was exposed to too much light and now its loosing nearly all of its color.” he explained with a calm tone, trying to not scare Alex more than he already was.
“I-is there anything I can do to return it to normal?” he asked with tears in his emerald eyes, but Bronzong just slowly shook left and right, which was his equivalent of shaking his head.
Crying, Alex left the room, running back to his mother, hugging her tight as he explained what he found out. His mother, trying her best to calm her son while she didn't knew much to say, she could only give all the love and comfort she could muster to him.
This day Alex didn't leave his home, mostly crying, lost in his thoughts. Every time he realized this was a permanent change, he started anew until late in the evening where he finally calmed down, slowly finding his piece with it before he fell asleep early in exhaustion.

The next morning, was much different. He got up, taking a deep breath and put on a smile again. A new color? Whatever! It made him look different than normal Sableye, something special like  a shiny was. These thoughts quickly turned his mood back to a positive. After quickly hugging his mother, he headed straight outside the cave to the Place where his friends where.
Just a moment later when he reached it, the general atmosphere changed from the generic training and talking in the group to a quiet starring. The new color was immediately the priority of attention.
“Uhm, Alex?  What did you do?” asked Zubat before the older Pokemon instantly fell into great laughter. Gabite stepped out of the group, chuckling still, but trying to talk: “Fuck, what a joke! You wanna be part of us? Are you serious? For just having you in our group we will loose all the respect we have. Thats a good joke. You know what? YOU are a joke!~ Haha!” He startet laughing hysterically, his friends as well shortly after.
Alex's mood turned down pretty much instantly. His gaze turned upon Zubat and Meditite: “G-Guys?”
The looks on the faces of the teens made it pretty clear. Zubat and Meditite had to decide who they wanna stick with. The pressure wasn't too big, but the feeling of being part of a group got to there heads. They started chuckling as they looked at each other.
“Oh gosh, what a weirdo! If we knew that this is how he actually looks, we wouldn't have ever spend time with him guys.” Meditite said, looking at the Teens and Zubat just nodded agreeing with her statement.
The Gabite just nodding proudly.
No more words needed, Alex turned and ran back into the cave, crying once again. His “friends” betraying him and hurting him so much was too much for him. He didn't ran home right away, but instead headed for the ice-crystal room, sitting all alone in there. He didn't want to give his mother a reason to worry any more than she already did.

Alexandrite dint know what to think anymore. His grayish color did it. It took his friends and now he was all alone, stuck with this color forever, bound to get discriminated because of the unnatural look. A life he simply wouldn't enjoy...

From that day on, Alex ignored the other Pokemon and there looks and giggles. He spend most of his years in either his home or walking around the cave on his own. He did this until he finally reached the age of eighteen. He didn't know what became of his former friends. He never saw them again in his time in the cave, but he also didn't really care.
The day was finally there, he was about to leave the cave, to leave the mountain as well as Sinnoh behind him. With tears in his eyes, he hugged his mother one last time. She cried loudly, but knew his son had to leave and was more than glad that he was ready to do so. All she wanted for him was a better life than he had so far.
Turning his home his back, Alex left the Cave, his journey to find his luck in the world beginning at last!

His first goal was to leave the region of Sinnoh. He crept onto a ship and when it set off, he just looked back at Sinnoh. Mt Coronet visible even this far away, his home, his mother. Everything was left behind and there was no going back now. Though alas, he couldn't keep watching his Home disappear more and more, partly because of the Passengers as well as because of his feelings going wild.
Alex had a general bad look at all these trainers. In his eyes they praised themselves in the work of there Pokemon. He was disgusted by them, making his efforts of hiding even more determined and he did well enough. Just a few days later the Boat reached its destination. He hard someone call out “Welcome in Kanto!”, now he was certain, he reached his goal of getting far away from Sinnoh and maybe even most of his problems.
After successfully escaping the harbor, he made his way to the nearest Forest where he'd take a rest.  Soon enough his travel finally began. From spying on some Trainers, he found out about the so called Rock Tunnel north of the closest city, Lavender Town. He took the traveling easy, going his own pace and not exhausting himself.

The weather had a mind of its own, but not even the heavy rain was able to get Alex's hopes down. Just a few days of searching, he reached the town. Only now he realized this town had a huge resting place for Pokemon and humans alike. After seeing that big tower, he couldn't help but to pay a visit since he was a ghost himself. Maybe this place was actually what he was looking for.
Alas, all he found where trainers either afraid or just there to honor the dead. Some old people even that weren't trainers anymore. The Pokemon he met were either rude, disinterested or straight up aggressive. To avoid any harm, Alax just left this place as well as the town towards the northern exit. From here his journey would continue.

Not even half a day later Alexandrite reached the Cave he heard of: Rock Tunnel. It was a dark place. He barely could see where he was going, even hitting some rocks sometimes and stumbling every now and then. This was absolutely not what he hoped for. The Zubats just laughed at his lack of orientation as he kept stumbling through the dark cave. Luckily he found his way through rather quickly all things considdered and a sigh of relief escaped him when he finally saw the comforting rays of sunlight shine through the exit of the cave and he could finally leave it behind himself.
Exhausted, Alex looked for a safe looking spot nearby where he could rest for the night. Lucky for him, not many Pokemon where just wandering around looking for him.

The next morning he made his way through the mountains, avoiding any human-being and dangerous looking Pokemon on the way until he came across another town, Cerulian City. He got past it and found the nearby Cerulian Cave, though the sounds from inside were more than enough to scare him off. The shower of fear running down his back was enough already, so he moved on.
Mount Moon was much less uncomfortable to traverse, though even here he didn't feel secure enough to stay and the Memories of his “friend” Zubat couldn't get out of his mind in this cave for some reason.
Pewter City was just another Town full of self centered humans in Alex's eyes. Veridian Forest in the south of Pewter City was the most comfortable place for Alex so far, but he didn't like the amount of new trainers around the place.

His travels lead him further to the west, all the way past the Victory Road up to the Silver mountain.  One morning, near the Mountain, Alex was still asleep. That wouldn't stay like that when suddenly a Larvitar was standing in front of him, poking him. A female and apparently a young Child. He blinked a few times, looking at her, before sitting up: “Uhm … h-hello?”
Larvitar giggles playful: “You look funny! Gems everywhere, they are so pretty and shiny.”
Alex couldn't help but smile, the first time in a while. Someone for once didn't make fun of him for his unique color and she actually seamed to think of his look positively.
Before he could say anything, she would grab a hold of his arm, pulling at him: “Come, I wanna show you to Mama!”
He just chuckled and didn't want to be mean or disappoint her, so Alex followed. In a cave nearby his positive mood was interrupted by straight up fear. It was the first time he saw a Tyranitar, especially one with a rather Grumpy expression. She was about double his size and turned as she heard her daughter.
“Mama, look who I found! A Pokemon full of Shiny things!” she says quite energetic and happily.
Her mother would step closer, Alex could feel every step she made on the ground by the vibrations caused under his Feet. She just stared at him for a moment, quite grumpy looking before looking back at her Daughter: “You know you aren't supposed to bring everything home you find, especially not other Pokemon. Oh well, go and play, Mom has to talk with our guest alone.”
Despite the serious Manner, Larvitar just nodded with a happy Smile and ran out to play. Now Tyranitar would sent her words towards the Sableye who was terrified already: “Now, I am not dumb, I know Sableye do not live in these regions. But also your Color … it seams off. You dont look like neither normal nor shiny Sableye. What are you doing here?”
Alex cleared his throat, taking a deep breath to calm down a little: “I-im traveling, i-im a traveler. I-i dont live anywhere because … w-well, my color...”
“Thats none of my business. Listen, I don't care who you are, I just know you are no threat to my daughter, so you are fine to me, but the Pokemon around this Area are strong and constantly want to prove themselves. You would do best hurrying up to move on. A special color will just pull attention to you and you are not a Pokemon thats commonly found around here either, you are a welcome beat-stick for everyone who wants do fight.”
“O-oh, i-i understand! T-thank you very much for your kindness, i-i will move on right away!” Alex said, bowing down respectfully for a moment and leaving the Cave right away after he saw the nod of the Big intimidating Pokemon.

The kind of friendly behavior of that Tyranitar and her daughter was something special to Alexandrite. He felt much warmer and on his way through the mountains of Johto, leaving Kanto behind himself completely.
He got across the a multitude of Caves and cities. From Blackthorn City, through the chillingly cold  Ice Path. From Mahogany Town to Ecruteak City. The architecture and culture of Johto started to fascinate Alex, but despite this, his dislike for Humans never kept him at one Place for longer than necessary.
He even spend a visit at the ruins of Alph, but that place scared him out more than anything else. Alexandrite's last stop in Johto was Olivine City. All the traveling through now 2 whole regions, not counting his home Sinnoh, made him tired and while he liked seeing all those places, his constant fear of Trainers and other Pokemon made it more of a regretful sight since he couldn't even enjoy these places and he found himself staying less and less at one place.
Finally a announcement from the nearest Ship ripped him out of his Thoughts. It was a seemingly full on Carrier for a lot of different wares, but it also was said to go to a Region called “Unova”. Once again Alex never heard of that before, but he wanted to leave this place behind to not live in the temptation of those interesting cities.

The lone Sableye managed to board the ship without getting noticed his sneaking skill really improved over all this time traveling while trying to stay hidden. He managed by hiding in one of the Boxes they where transporting.
It was a Quiet ride. Alex found himself some Food here and there while he was waiting for the ship to reach its destination. After about a week, early in the morning, the young Sableye woke due to a bunch of loud Noises. The boxes he used to hide were transported off the ship onto the harbor as they finally reached Unova. Castelia City was overwhelming him right from the get go. Alex never saw such big buildings and such a big City in general. With lowered ears, Alex made his way through the streets, trying to stay hidden as best as he could. But this one time, he failed. It was pointless, there was nowhere to hide properly and not enough Places to sneak around. Someone saw him, a rather Young trainer how it seamed. He instantly called him out and pulled a lot of Attention onto the special colored Pokemon. The young trainer ran towards Alex and of cause Alex's first responds was to flee. Luckily for him most people where either buisy enough to not be able to follow or thought that he and the young trainer somehow belonged together.

Out of town in the Desert just north of Castelia City it seamed like Alexandrite escaped the kid, but he was mistaking as he saw a Pokeball fly right in his direction. Luckily enough the Sableye managed to dodge it barely.
“Damnit! You are mine, I gonna catch you!” said the trainer quite excited before he sent out his seemingly only Pokemon, a little Solosis. Little did the young trainer know that his Pokemon couldn't do ANYTHING to a dark type like Alex. Confused, Alex tilted his head. He never engaged into a Battle before but still knew the basics and a slight variety of Attacks.
“Go Solo, use psywave!” the trainer says and Solosis didn't hesitate. The wave of psychic energy hit Alex hard and precise, but with no effect at all. The sableye just stood there, blinking and Tapping his Alexandrite on his chest where he got hit, but didn't feel anything really.
This was enough for Alex to know this trainer had no idea what he was doing yet, so he hesitantly used his Shadowball and even hit Solosis. The attack was strong enough to knock out the little psychic Pokemon, more than enough time for Alex to run for it.

Halfway Through the small desert, he stopped, taking a break from the hasty escape and battle. Alex had a bad feeling in his chest. He didn't want to hurt the Solosis but he had to. Trainers sending out there Pokemon against all odds just because they have no clue? Because they want something just because it looks special and letting there Pokemon get hurt because of it? “Never i will let myself end up as a Slave of a selfish human!” he thought to himself.
After his break, he headed further north. He avoided Nimbasa City as best as possible, not wanting to get into any more Confrontations.
From here he stopped heading along the Paths and instead heading through the Forest straight for the Reversal Mountain. It took him a few days, but he made it and … he was Tired. Tired of all the aimless travel, the ever increasing danger of getting Caught and the Places he saw and got interested in, just to be unable to actually enjoy them or investigate on his own. On his way through the Caves of the Reversal mountain, he came across a empty part of possible living-space.

After over a year of Travel, Alex decided to stop. Maybe just temporary, maybe forever. But he knew the travel needed a rest. The reversal mountain seamed similar enough to his old home in Sinnoh. Every now and then a trainer passed by, but not as often. The Pokemon around the Place accepted him … kind of. He got all the same informations when there where trainers around like any other Pokemon who wanted to hide, but that didn't stop a lot of the Stronger Pokemon and even some that were weaker to mock him and some even straight up attacked him every now and then, knowing he wouldn't be able to fight back.

Over the following year that was what most of his life in this mountains looked like. Some days where that bad that he cried himself to sleep at night, parts of his body sometimes hurting from random attacks. Not all Pokemon where negative towards him, but none acted openly nice either, since they didn't want to get the same treatment in the end.

One morning, Alex walked around the cliff sides above the path trainers came through sometimes. His eyes where wandering from the nearby Town of the pesky humans an the mostly cloudy sky. It was slowly starting to rain. He came across a slight outstanding platform of pure rock just like every other part of the mountain. He stood there, starring down at the road right below. His thoughts went wild. Was this supposed to be his Life? Hated by Pokemon, wanted by humans who don't care for there Pokemon? He was nothing than a punching-bag for one and a trophy for the other.
Tears came to his eyes. Suddenly thoughts of his mother and even his father that he never got to know properly. How would they feel right now? Where they alright? What torture his father must have as the “slave” of a trainer. But going back wasn't an option. The dangerous ride on human ships and such where just too dangerous. He would rather end his life instead of giving in to a trainer who doesn't even care for him.

Ending it...
… The thought lingered...
It slowly took over...
Why should he keep enduring the torture that is his life. Pain, physical as well as emotional, was a must on every day. The alternative? Human slavery or constant disappointment and regret.
There was no point for moving on. He had enough. Wiping his tears away, standing straight at the cliff, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Alex whispered: “I love you mom … and … d-dad~ Forgive me.” With a sob, he tried to smile one last time, the tears running down his cheeks one more as he let go, staying silent from now on. Not one small noise managed to escape as he just let go of his mind. Suddenly, his feet lost there steady position. The wet rock made him slip, but the slight surprise went to releave as he now didnt have to jump himself. The rain just stopping the moment Alexandrite was falling. Falling to his release of his horrible life...

… So he thought.

Alex hit the ground hard, the hight fatal for most creatures of his size, but … he was a ghost after all. He wouldn't die that easily. The impact was crushing, knocking him unconscious instantly, leaving his small body in ruin, his left leg dislocated, multiple scars from the impact as well as a open wound on his head. But worst of all, his upper left arm was broken to a degree that his bone ripped part of his upper arm open, leaving the bone visible as well as bleeding heavily. Alex was lucky he didnt endure the pain thanks to his unconsciousness, though he would have reached his goal anyway … if it wasn't for someone passing by...

A shiny Absol, followed by his Trainer who came closer very quickly as he saw the dieing creature on the floor. Without hesitation he made sure to not make anything worse while picking Alex up, carrying him to the nearest Pokemon Center.

Alex was in a coma for two weeks before he slowly got back. He was resting in a bed of the Pokemon Center. His leg put back into place without any lasting issues, his wounds taken care of and even his left upper arm was saved. Bandages around his head, multiple parts of his body and a bracer on his left arm to keep it all in place for it to heal.
After a short time of groaning, Alex got woken up by a bit of pain that only now reached his Head, but it was just short thanks to the painkiller he got. The first thing he saw was the face of Chanaira with the nurse hat on, smiling warmly at him. He just blinked lazily, unsure what to say and feeling slightly weak still.
“W-what happened?” he ask pretty quiet, but loud enough to be clearly heard by the people in the room, which included the one who was responsible for Alex being still alive. The trainer who found him. A male with a nice looking expression, standing near the bed, smiling as well as he seamed to be very relieved to see Alex alright. The trainer took a step closer, slightly frightening Alex with that, but he was unable to move anyway.
“I don't know what exactly happened, but when my partner, Glyph, found you, I was shocked at the sight. Something bad must have happened to you.” the trainer explained.
“O-oh, i-i … uhm... “ Alex began to stutter, he knew the whole “care” thing would be gone when they found out. But before he could even respond, the partner the trainer mentioned, his Absol, entered the room.
“No need to say anything, I was examining the cliff, asking the Pokemon around the area and thought about it intensely. Two possible incidents, either he slipped, or he intentionally let himself fall.” the Absol, named Glyph apparently, explained.
Alex took a deep breath, knowing to lie wouldn't be right: “I-its true, I did it on purpose...”
Those words just made Glyph nod before he set down on a empty space next to the door. Alex was ashamed of himself and looked away knowing this wouldn't end in a good reaction.
Chansey was very shocked to hear that, but didn't give another reaction as it got quiet in the room.
But instead of a negative reaction, the trainer set down next to him: “Do you have a name?” he asked quite calm.
Alex was surprised, looking at him a bit embarrassed of himself: “... A-Alexandrite, but I'm usually called Alex … i-if its not a insult for once that is...”
“My name is Zail, why would someone insult you?”
After taking a deep breath, closing his eyes, trying to calm himself down a little before he explained the whole situation. Why he jumped, how he felt, how most of his life went and every little detail he could think of. He started crying, his voice getting very shaky. But after he was done, he just realized his claw was gently held by Zail, listening carefully to everything he says. Alex never felt that relieved before.
“You have been through a lot. I'm so sorry, especially about the way you look at humans. But I cant deny that those people exist.” Zail said, closed eyes as he shook his head a bit in disappointment of the trainers he was thinking of.

After another moment of silence, Alex sighed: “Y-you saved my life... I … wont resist if you try to catch me. I tried to end my life, I don't deserve to live in the freedom I tried to throw away...”
Zail looked at Alex, chuckling a bit to himself: “You idiot~ If anything, you deserve to experience real freedom. To see the world not as someone who needs to hide, but someone who can enjoy all the Places he visits, walk around freely in the middle of a Town if you please! But first, rest. I will take a break on my Journey until I took care of you, little guy.” Zail would smile comforting.
Those words hit Alex like a Truck. He was so oblivious about trainers. Zail showed him a side he never expected to see on a human or anything for that matter, but he realized that not all trainers were bad. Maybe not even all who want to catch him. He couldn't help but to Let out a slight giggle followed by a smile as he looked at Zail, the first person next to his mother who was this nice to him. “... T-thank you.” Alex said happier than ever before.
“Hehe, thats better~ Now rest, you need it.” Zail suggested as he stood up.
Alexandrite nods, laying his head back and closing his eyes to rest.
He didn't know why, but Zail was just making him feel better and he seamed extremely trustworthy. With only positive Thoughts for once, Alexandrite would drift off into his dreams, happier than ever. Definitely the best mistake he ever made in his life, even though he regrets it greatly.

Just a day later, Zail visited him again. Alex felt much better already and was quite nervous to see Zail again.
“Morning Alexandrite, how do you feel today?” he asked calmly, his partner Glyph didn't seam to be with him this time.
“G-good morning! I-im better, thanks.” Alexandrite replied, trying to sound kind, but couldn't really hide his nervousness.
Zail would Chuckle to himself, smiling at the Sableye: “Not trusting me yet, huh? Don't worry, you get the time you need. I thought about it and talked with Glyph and my other Pokemon Friends, yes, Glyph isn't the only one, and they seam fine with helping you out. What do you think, southwest of here lies a Town with a amusement park, Musicals and all those things. Alone you might not be able to get to town, but with me, other people wont be of any danger at all to you.”
Alexs ears perked up even more than they were naturally and his eyes widen, the ghostly glow in his eyes that were his pupils glowing quite bright: “R-really!? T-that sounds amazing! Lets not waste any time!”
He pushed the bed cover off himself, trying to get up eagerly as he got very excited just thinking about the possibility to go to town, for the first time without having to fear anything.
“Hey hey, calm down there! You are not in the best condition.” Zail said and he ended up being right as well. While Alex's leg barely hurt at all anymore at this point, it was just a matter of getting back to work, but he was a bit dizzy. Enough in fact, to fall back onto his butt onto the bed as soon as he was standing upright: “O-oh gosh, bad idea...”

Since nothing bad happened, Zail could chuckle about the failed attempt. The dizzy Pokemon would join in shortly after.
“Just take it slow, its gonna get better. You can stand though, right? No pain or anything?” Zail asked, showing big concern.
Alex nods: “Yea, it just hurts a tiny bit, b-but I guess thats normal when it was as bad as I heard it was. Can be glad in fact. But … my arm...” With great worry in his gaze, he would look at his broken left arm.
“Don't worry about that, it will heal and then everything is back to normal. What do you say? Wanna continue trying to stand up and walk? Maybe we can go earlier than expected if you manage to get back on your legs quick enough.” Zail said.
Alex would think for a moment, before smiling happily. “Sure! Lets keep trying! I do not want to stick in bed forever after all.”
Zail chuckled a little, getting up: “Now, I have to go for a moment. Rest a bit longer before I'm back so we can continue trying.”
Alex nods, leaning back and taking a deep breath relaxing.

It didn't took too long for the adult Trainer to come back.  Back to the attempts, it took a bit of courage for the Sableye to start. But with a bit of help from Zail, he got over the dizziness with just a few tries. It was still draining quite a lot of stamina to keep standing upright and walk, even if slowly.
The training continued the next day. Alexandrite was very determined, he wanted to get better, thus  his attempts kept going, even when Zail wasn't around. Continuing to the late evening and when zail came to look for him, he found a nearly fully recovered Alex casually walking through the room. Chanaira checking on him to make sure nothing bad happens, but he didn't need any help anymore. His healthy arm always reaching towards something to grab just in case he needs it, but this wasn't necessary. His legs and head were back to normal.

Excited, Alex nearly jumped at Zail when he saw him: “Hey look! I have no problems anymore!”
Zail smiled and gave the Sableye a pet on the head: “Thats amazing, now that means you shouldn't stay up too long and I will plan the Trip to your first visit of a City.”
“Finally! I cant wait, i-i need to go to bed right away!” Alex said, stretching before he gone to bed.
“Hehe, sure, but don't force it. Good night Alex, I go and prepare everything.”
“Good night Zail!”
With those words, Alex got curled up, ready to sleep while his friend Zail returned to his Place that he rented, preparing himself for the coming day.

His excitement made Alex unable to fall asleep just yet. With a annoyed sigh he set up, knowing it made no sense to lay around and wait until he got tired. Alexandrite got up, stretched himself once again to make sure everything is working still and carefully made his way out of the room for the first time. He explored the Pokemon center all alone and there wasnt much to see anyway.
It was getting late, the sun already setting, but standing in the lobby, Alex saw someone sitting outside, right in front of the entrance to the center, watching the sunset. It was Glyph, Zails partner. With a bit of hesitation and shyness, Alex approached the Absol and set down next to him, gaining a short stare from Glyph.
“... Hey...” Glyph just said, continuing to watch the sunset.
“Hey! ...U-uhm, i-i dont wanna bother you or anything, but may I ask what you do out here all by yourself?” Alex asked a bit concerned.
Eyes closed, Glyph would reply with the same calm and reserved attitude as before: “I'm just relaxing. Zail trusts me blindly, I have the freedom I want and I trust him just as much in case you wonder about our relation. You seam very Skeptical about Humans.”
“Hm, I have to admit, I don't trust humans really and I don't think I ever really will. They will always see me as a Unique version of a Sableye they need to have, just because I'm different. Zail is different though. He definitely deserves my trust and … well, honestly, even if not, I owe my Life to you two, I don't care if he would catch me after all. Better him than someone who doesn't give a damn about me...”
“You … have a good way of thinking.” Glyph said, it was the first time Alex saw him smile a little, “He wont Catch you. Rules of Pokemon battles between trainers state that the maximum of Pokemon allowed in a Team are six. He already has a full team and Zail doesn't think good of unnecessarily catching a Pokemon just to have it. His focus as a trainer is to make us six as good of a team as he can and he succeeded fully so far. This is our third Region, you know? We came from Hoenn originally. He beat all the elite four of Hoenn, but against the Champ we ended in a draw sadly. His goal is to challenge the champs of every region when he thinks we are ready, but loosing means the chance is gone for a while.”
“Oh, that sounds … hard. I can barely fight at all... But you must be very strong, I'm sure you are the strongest Pokemon of the team.” Alex said with a friendly smile.
“Hehe, I wish. Yes, I am strong, but while I indeed bring the best results, not everything is about strength, you know? By far the strongest in our team is the Pokemon Yviltal. One of the biggest challenges Zail and I ever took upon ourself was to challenge the legendary Yviltal and with ouer teamwork we managed to not just beat it, but actually add it as the final Pokemon of the team. Of cause only after it agreed to join us. Hes a … weird guy. Hes free to leave anytime even, but for some reason fighting strong Pokemon is thrilling to him. Sadly he still doesn't match up with my results, which makes him jealous.”
“Doesn't sound like you are too proud on that”
“Hey, in first line we are all friends and partners. Fighting is kind of part of it yea, but its not as important as just being with each other and traveling together. He doesn't seam to enjoy it as much as the rest of the cast.”
“I see, but this really sounds kind of nice honestly~ Having friends and all that...” with a sigh, Alex closed his eyes as he remembered something when he said that.
Glyph noticed right away of cause: “Whats bothering you Alex?”
“... J-just that, this name. I had friends before, you know? At least I thought I had. Just two, but it was all I knew in terms of company aside from my mother. They … turned on me as soon as I lost my color and became this. They even laughed at me... It was them who started calling me Alex and … just hearing my own name now makes me remember them and how much they hurt me. I … really hope I wont ever see them again, but, … at the same time they are everywhere … as soon as I hear my name, they are there. In my mind and laughing...”
“That sounds bad. You seam quite easy to hurt, but I guess seeing that they were your only friends and you were young, it isn't unusual.” commented Glyph.
“Yea, I just wish I could leave everything behind. I wanna start anew now that Zail gave me the chance, but more than ever I struggle enduring the Pain of hearing my own name. It … starts to make me angry as well as sad...” Alex would get pretty anxious next to Glyph.
“... Your name is Alexandrite, right? … This isn't too difficult. How about this: Would you like a new and unique Nickname instead? Something like … “Xandri”?”
The eyes of the Sableye opened wide in shock. He never thought of changing his Nickname to anything else. Speechless he starred at Glyph, breathing heavily.
Unsure Glyph tilted his head, looking at Alexandrite, but with a sudden sob, the Sableye would hug him tight. Tears rolling down his cheeks as he tried to bring out some words which sounded very shaky: “T-that is a amazing Idea! T-thank you so much!”
Glyph would blush slightly, blinking a few times from the sudden hug: “Uhm … sure, no problem, but please keep one rule whenever possible: No touching.”
Xandri would back up slowly, smiling as he wiped his Tears out of his Eyes: “H-Hehe, sorry. For you this might be small, but for me its something very important. … A-also you are fluffy...”
After a bit of starring, Glyph sighed and rolled his eyes: “Alright, whatever. Go ahead, but watch where you put your claws or I WILL react in a unpleasant way.”
“Yay!” Xandri hugged the shiny Absol once again, just enjoying the moment

Glyph more or less Ignored Xandri while he was hugging and to some extend snuggling into the canines fur. But this also ended not all too much later when Xandri let out a long Yawn, letting go of Glyph right after. After standing up, he rubbed his eyes and turned towards the center, looking at the Absol for a moment. “Thanks for talking with me, you really are a nice guy and … w-well, friend if I can call you that~ ...E-either way, thanks for everything, see you tomorrow!”
“Good night Xandri, and of cause you can call me a friend.” Glyph said with a bit of a Smile as he looked after the Sableye while he was heading for his room.
Now that he was tired, Alexandrite had a easy time falling asleep. Satisfied with his new nickname, he had barely anything left that bothered him anymore.

The next morning, Xandri got up early, just making sure there was no trouble with his legs and balance. After he was done, the Sableye headed for main entrance of the Center, where he found Zail and Glyph already waiting.
“Good morning Alexandrite! Glyph told me about the new Nickname already. But before we go, I have to ask: Are you really sure you wanna do that?” Zail greeted and asked with a friendly but serious tone in his voice.
Xandri had nothing to think about: “Of cause! I definitely want to do this. Its the only Chance I have to safely visit a Town and admire all those interesting places. There is no way I will waste this opportunity.”
Hearing that, Glyph and Zail nod to each-other before Zail turned his attention to the Nurse for just a moment before back to Xandri: “Alright, please don't be scared now.”
Xandri just tilted his head, unsure of what Zail was talking about. But before he noticed, a Luxury Ball bounced off of his chest after softly hitting him, opening as the red beams absorbed Xandri into the Ball. The confusion and low strength of the Sableye made the capture rather quick and easy. In addition to that, Xandri didn't even try to escape due to what he said before.
After the Ball gave the signal, Zail picked it up, looking at it for just a moment before releasing Xandri right away, the red beam shooting from the frontal button to the floor before Xandri appeared unchanged, blinking a few times and not saying anything.
“Alright, thanks, now...” Zail turned to face Joy, heading to the counter and putting the Ball on it, “Just like I said, please seal this Ball so it can never be used again unless unsealed.”
Confused about what just happened and what Zail is doing, Xandri stared at Glyph. The shiny Absol would chuckle slightly to himself: “Well, I can see your confusion right away. Be thankful, Zail just made it impossible for random trainers to catch you under any circumstance. Lets say you were with us in town. You just leave us for a few seconds on accident and POOF someone threw a ball. He talked with me about it and if you wouldn't have let him do this, he wouldn't have taken you with us.” Glyph explained.
Shortly after, Zail came back with the Ball sealed fully in a plastic cube: “Thats right, I want to actually help you and not be the reason you get captured by some random Trainer who saw a rare colored Pokemon.”
Xandri couldn't believe it. He stared at the ball, still in disbelieve that he was truly save from Trainers from now on. Moments later tears formed in his gem-eyes. He hugged Zail all of a sudden with his right arm, crying lightly. “T-thank you so much!”
Zail just smiled and chuckled, rubbing the Sableyes back carefully.
“Hehe, could you two lovebirds get moving?~ I wanted to reach Nimbasa City today.” Glyph said teasingly, heading for the door.
Alexandrite blushed at the comment, taking a step back and wiping his remaining tears away: “T-today? Isn't it a bit far away for that?”
Zail leaned down to be at the same hight like Xandri was: “You know, we humans have things called cars. I can order a so called taxi which I was planing on doing anyway. You said you got around a lot? You probably saw a few of those things with tires on your travels, didn't you?”
“Oh, those are cars? Well, that would be a first time, sounds interesting.” Xandri responded quite curious.
“Good, then lets go, a lot to do today.” Zail said before heading out the front door with Glyph right next to him.
Without hesitation, Xandri followed them.

It didn't take long for a Taxi to arrive. Zail took the seat right next to the driver and told him the destination while Glyph and Xandri got the back seats.
The car started moving and the motions made Xandri pretty nervous. Whenever the street goes downhill, he got a funny feeling in his stomach, causing him to giggle a little. He seamed to enjoy it after getting used to it.
The road lead along a countryside with a great view on the ocean. This was not new for Xandri as he got past views like this on his travels a few times, thus the ride with the Taxi was much more distracting to him.

It took about two hours to reach Nimbasa City, which was very impressive for Xandri and after paying a good amount, the three got out of the car and found themselves right outside of Nimbasa. Just seeing the city got Xandri excited, this was the first time he would enter a human city without sneaking.
The town was quite active as the small group was walking through the streets. Fascinated from all the objects on display, clothes, food and much more made Xandri run from window to window. Zail couldn't help but to chuckle at the curious Sableye as he kept up with him rather easily. Glyph wasn't all that interested and just walked with them rather calm.
After a while, Xandri noticed that and stood before the Absol with the rather neutral expression: “Whats the matter? Should we go to the amusement park? You seam very bored.”
Glyph would blink a few times, not changing his expression.
“We can, but that wont change much. I have my own ways to relax and enjoy myself. Those mainly consist out of things I do alone, training or fighting.” Glyph explained in a rather neutral tone.
“Aww, come on~ Lets have some fun!”
“How? You cant even fight back with a arm like that.” Glyph said, raising a eyebrow with a bit of a Smirk.
Xandri was a bit surprised, but got what his friend meant, chuckling nervously: “H-hehe, n-no thanks, you know I'm not a fighter either way.”
Zail had a hard time keeping his laughter back: “Come then, I will go on a few rides with you Xandri. Glyph is a bit of a Tease sometimes.”
“Yay, thank you!” the Sableye reacted, acting more like a kid occasionally.

Zail kept his word and soon after Xandri found himself on a few different rides. After about an hour on the different rides, the young Sableye got left near another ride he wanted to try out while Glyph was still off to himself somewhere and Zail getting something to eat. But Xandri wasn't supposed to get bored as he got a visitor. A young trainer, someone he only took a few seconds to recognize.
The trainer released his Duosion from his Pokeball, standing just a few Meters away from Xandri.
“Hey there, seams like we meet again, rare Sableye. Me and Duosion became much stronger and understand how typings work. This time I will catch you!” he called out to Xandri, but even before Xandri could say anything, the Duosion prepared and launched a energy ball attack at him. Unsure what to do and completely unprepared and unable to fight as well as shocked from the sudden attack, Xandri didn't move at all, just staring at the attack that was approaching him. But just in time before the energy ball reached its target, a shadow claw would make quick work of it.
It was Glyph. He positioned himself protectively in front of Xandri, looking rather serious at the Duosion.
“Thats another rare Pokemon! Today is my lucky day. Go get em Duosion, I have the Pokeballs ready!” the trainer said determined.
Glyph just shook his head from the behavior of him and looked back at Xandri, talking in a rather relaxed tone: “Well, seams like I get at least a little bit of a fight after all. Just wish it was less of a amateur and more of a challenge.”
His eyes focused back on the Duosion, Glyph wouldn't move. His glare alone made the Duosion nervous, but the trainer didn't notice this at all and on his command, another energy ball attack was fired at Glyph.
Just as he said before, it wasn't even a challenge for the Absol. He vanished from one second to another, using nightslash to its full potential as he reappeared right above the now shocked Pokemon, landing a crit and smashing him to the floor, instantly resulting in a knockout.

Phased by the performance, the young trainer just called his Duosion back, starring confused as he was.
Zail, finally done with getting some food for the three of them, was standing next to the young trainer: “Well, sorry about that, my partner seams to be a bit out of your league. But train more, maybe that changes someday. Though, don't try to catch every rare Pokemon you see, respect there wishes and make sure they don't belong to anyone already. You get much better results that way too.”
That explanation just phased the teenager even more as he just nods with a shy “Uh-huh” before leaving.
As soon as he was gone, Zail started chuckling deviously: “Hehe, gosh, you really didn't have to go all out on that poor thing. You literally could have snuggled that thing into submission.”
Glyph chuckles a bit at that comment: “As if I'd ever do something like that.”
The Absol was a bit surprised when suddenly Xandri was hugging him: “Thanks, you saved me from that guy. How can I make up for it?”
A bit of a blush was forming on Glyphs face: “You could start by stopping to rub your face against my fur, I'm not a plush Absol.”
“Aww, thats a shame, hehe~” Xandri took a step back to leave Glyph his space smiling happily at him still though.

They stayed there at the amusement park for a bit longer until the Sun started to set and Zail got another idea: “Hey, Xandri? How about a Musical?”
The Sableye tilted his head: “Musical? Whats that?”
“Musicals are similar to contests, just with focus on acting and not performance with moves. The theater should have some going on at this time of day. They mainly consist out of Pokemon, acting or playing a role in a certain story and all that kind of stuff.”
“That actually does sound very interesting. Sure lets go there. … Hey, Glyph? Can I ride you?~”
“Ask again when your legs somehow don't work or let me quickly fix that issue.” Glyph replied rather neutral, knowing he was getting teased.
“Hihi, don't be so rough~”
Without further commentary, the small group visited the Theater where they promptly got into a Musical/Show right away.

The act was rather boring for Glyph, but Xandri was fascinated. No need to fight, at least not without planned results and weak moves, all sorts of outfits and even enough space to bring in some unique character of your own as a actor.
“Say, Zail? Do you think … you know … could I become a actor too?” Xandri asked with a bit of nervousness in his voice.
“Oh, sure you can. They train any Pokemon thats interested. You wont get on the stage like that right away, but the way there isn't that hard. From then on its up to the fans. If you get enough, you will make it far. If not, well, there are other things than the show-business, hehe.”
“I wanna try it!” Xandri reacted rather energetic.
“Alright alright, calm down.” Zail said, chuckling from the Sableyes reaction.
“Hehe, sorry, but I cant wait! You really got me curious now.”
“Well then, you have to wait until the act is over though.”
Xandri just nods, taking a deep breath and trying to stay calm.

The young Sableye managed to hold on until the end of the show. As promised, he and Zail visited the actor school that was part of the theater. There were a lot of different Pokemon as well as Humans in training, most of them in pairs as they trained and learned there speeches and roles. Registering Xandri wasn't difficult, and thus he was part of the school from then on. He instantly got his first lessons and Zail was his partner for the first day, just to help out to get used to it. Zail was quite surprised about the talent Xandri showed off, even the Teacher was impressed to whitness such skill from a newbie.
Nonetheless, the lesson wasn't that long as Xandri just joined in quite late and after the whole thing, they went to the nearest hotel and got a room there to sleep in. Before he was going to bed, Zail spoke to Xandri once more: “Hey, how was it? Your first day free in human society?”
Xandri would smile happily while responding: “It was amazing! You are amazing! I dont know where I would be without you. … A-aside from the grave I mean...”
“Well, I am glad you are alright and that you liked it. Now, get your sleep. You have quite a bit of practice ahead of you now, little future actor you~” Zail teased, chuckling a bit.
“You are right, I'm so excited!~ Well then, good night, and sleep well.”
“Same to you, little guy.”
With those words the two gone to bed. Glyph was mainly hanging around in the lobby of the hotel, his bedtime wasn't quite there yet.

The following 3 weeks Xandri attended the acting school, improving more and more until he got into a test act to perform in front of the teacher and the rest of the class with a select few who also got tested. To no ones surprise, he made it with high grades, near perfect performance. This would mean hes now on the road to his first official act in front of actual spectators. This however would take until his arm was fully healed and he could wear normal clothing, which wasn't possible with the bandages etcetera.
Just after the show however, outside of the theater, Zail and Glyph were already waiting for him. Seaming a bit less Cheerful than usual.
“Hey guys! I made it!” Xandri exclaimed happily.
“We know, we know you did buddy. But … now you have a purpose and a life. Your arm is gonna be back to normal sooner or later and … well. Where do we fit in there? We are your friends, we will always be, but … this is your adventure. We have our own. I hate to say it, even Glyph wasn't happy about it, but... this is it. We have to move on just like you will.” Zail explained, his voice sounding like he has a really hard time with this.
“W-wait, are you guys going to leave?” Xandri asked, his happy mood gone in an instant.
With a sigh, Glyph continued: “Look, its hard for Zail and even for me. You really are a nice guy and even I consider you a friend, but our partners are getting bored and annoyed. We cant stay with you for longer than necessary and you simply don't need us anymore.”
“You can always take up contact to me over the phone. Just talk to a nurse in the Pokemon center and she will explain how it works. This is not a goodbye forever. We will meet again, I can promise you that, but … until then, this is farewell.” Zail said, spreading his arms for a last hug, his expression rather sad compared to usually.
A few seconds passed as Xandri just stared at Zail shocked, but he knew this day was coming sooner or later. And knowing Glyph, he could imagine how annoyed and bored the rest of the team would be. With a sob, he hugged his lifesaver and best friend. Crying slightly, but silently as the pain in his chest grew. After a fitting amount of time Xandri did the same to Glyph no matter if he liked it or not.

Afterwards he took a step back, wiping his tears away and taking a deep breath to stay calm as best as he could.
Zail examined every move and noise of his little friend until he decided it was the right time.
“Alright. Xandri! … Goodbye. Don't be sad. And I swear, if I wont hear about a unusually colored Sableye making it big, I gonna find you!” Zail said, with a slight chuckle at the end.
Xandri did the same through his sadness, responding: “N-now don't give me motivation to fail.”
“If we have to come for you, thats because I gonna fight you.” added Glyph. Zail knew it was more of a push in the right direction instead of being a threat though.
“H-hehe, ok ok, calm down, I was joking. But thank you once again and … Goodbye, I will hear from you too I hope? You definitely will from me, I promise~” Xandri replied and even managed to bring out a smile.
Zail just nods and turns around: “Alright, Glyph? Its time to continue where we left off. I know you wanna beat someone up, but its not gonna be easy still! Lets go.” And with that Zail ran off like a kid.
Glyph just slowly followed, more relaxed than anything: “You make me look like a bully...”
Gone or not, Xandri stayed determined even without his best friends. His raise to the top just begun and he didn't plan on letting anyone down!

The Sableye was enjoying his now easy life in town. He was quickly becoming a local sensation even before reaching the stage in front of many people. But the day should finally come. His left arm completely recovered, he could put down the bondages. Now the arm felt much lighter than before thanks to the missing weight, but his positive mood about it was cut short. A huge scar was left and his mind instantly flooded with what caused it. All the bad thoughts returned in an instant as well. Reminded on what happened and where he was now, he really was disgusted in what he did. A simple band wrapped around his arm was the first reaction he got. With no proper way to cover it up, thats the only thing he knew which looked remotely fashionable and wearable.

Thanks to his sense in fashion he quickly developed with all the costumes to choose from as a actor, Xandri managed to effortlessly cover up his arm for the next musical and before he knew it, his success brought him further than most of his fellow actors. The Sableye truly was a born actor. Soon after he made some money with his musicals, which just increased more and more the more Popular he became, which he used to get a propper apartment of his own.
Shortly after his first few Shows, Xandri got himself a gray, open sleeve, fixed around his neck loosely with a single button, covering most of his arm in a more fashionable way than before.

After a few Months, Xandri was already known far and wide. He organized his first anti Pokemon abuse campaigns in order to help as many abused Pokemon as possible in the world. This also gained a huge following over time and it didn't take long until a few trainers were exposed to there bad treatment towards there Pokemon. Some Pokemon even got enough courage to straight up stand up for themselves against these kind of trainers and owners.
Seeing this made Xandri glad. What he saw back when he was small is something he didn't want to happen. He wasn't the first person trying to help Pokemon like that, but his sudden rise to fame gave him much more listeners. Despite all of that, nothing of it was planed. Xandri just did what he felt like was right and ended up having luck that everything turned to his favor without him even realizing it.

One morning, the Sableye got contacted. It was a request for a Musical, but when he heard it were to happen in Sinnoh, his childhood home, he became very nervous. Should he really return back to it?
His thoughts wandered for a bit, back and forth. But in the end, his answer was yes. This was the perfect Chance to go back home even if its just for a visit.
Xandri started preparing himself right away. But he was not expecting the second surprise of the Morning. Just when he was about to leave his apartment and opened the door, Xandri stared right into another Sableyes eyes. Surprised and unsure what was going on for a few seconds, both just stood there.

It took a third persons interference to interrupt the starring of the two. A trainer which looked like he was in his middle ages spoke up in a bit of a shy tone: “Uhm, excuse us! Y-you don't happen to be THE Xandri, right? Famous actor?”
The Question was enough for Xandri to get back to his senses: “Oh, I mean, yes, I am. Who are you two and what is the cause for this surprise visit?” Xandri asked with a calm and collected voice.
Suddenly the other Sableye, seemingly the Pokemon from the Trainer, was tearing up, sobbing.
The human just held out his hand for a handshake, introducing himself: “My name isn't worth mentioning. I'm just a horrible person who unknowingly ruined a family and wasn't necessarily the best trainer either...”
The normal looking Sableye suddenly hugged Xandri, still sobbing. He seamed to be quite a bit older than him and slightly bigger in size. “I-i cant believe it... I-i didn't think would ever see you again. My son!”
Those words caused Xandris heart to race, his rather calm Mood instantly gone.
“S-son?! … W-wait … d-do you mean you are...?” he asked, not quite believing it.
“I am! I didn't have a Choice, literally. I just got caught and had to go wherever I was taken. I have enough proof with one single word. You really are my son, Alexandrite!”
It was true, those words were enough proof. No one, not even media ever found out about Xandris full Name. Only his old Friends could have known aside from his parents. And this was his father, of cause he would know!
“D-Dad?” Xandri asked, still having a hard time to believe this is really happening. His long time missing Father was here, “B-but how did you find me?!”
By now, father and son were hugging each-other, both tearing up, steadily starting to weep while the trainer just watched, seemingly very sorry about what happened.
“I guess I will leave you two alone. I will be taking a walk around town and wait in the Hotel later.” the trainer said, leaving the two Sableye alone.
It took a few Minutes for Xandri to calm down enough. He took a step back, taking a deep breath.
“B-But how did you find me? No one knows my real name and … well, you see how I look now compared to back before you had to leave... I don't get it, there was no way you could know I'm Alexandrite.” Xandri mentioned, wondering as he started to think of a possibility.
“Oh, that was rather surprising honestly. My trainer and our team made it to the Unova League about a week ago. We were doing pretty well too! … Until we met that one trainer. He was young compared to mine, but DAMN he was carrying a bunch of beasts around. A fucking legendary! The great Yviltal! You don't have to believe me, but...” Xandri cut off his father right there: “YOU fought against ZEIL?! How was he?! Did you meet Glyph?! His partner? Hes a Absol.”
“R-right, you must know him, I forgot. But yea, that Absol? It was MUCH more scary than even Yviltal himself. I got lucky I didn't had to face that legendary, but oh how wrong I was. I didn't get to do anything before I was knocked out by that Absol. After we fought, that Glyph? The Absol, no matter if thats his name or not, told me I seamed to be just the right age to fit to a Sableye he knows who's missing his father since his Childhood. After I relaxed a bit after the fight, Zail and Glyph approached us. I mentioned how fitting that was to my case and thus they told us everything. That Zail had a REALLY serious conversation with my trainer afterwards. Never saw someone intimidating him that much. But that really opened his eyes! Well, ever since hes feeling incredibly guilty and treats me and all my Friends that build our team so much better. He never treated us badly, just never as good as now. Anyway, after that, Zail made his way to the Champ and believe it or not, he won. It was very close, but that Glyph just barely made it. He does have a Mega Evolution, that scares me even more. I'm so lucky he didn't use it on me.”
That story was fascinating to Xandri. His friends didn't just help him once more, but also beat the Regions biggest Challenge. His tears were rolling once again.

Xandri couldn't help it. He forgot all he wanted to do and just took his father into his Home. Telling him everything that happened. Things he archived, things he wanted to archive. … Things he wanted to forget...
But it was worth it. Xandris father was so happy about what became of his son and for the entire rest of the day, they spend talking, exchanging experiences, stories and more.
The following day, the two made there way through town, spending time and enjoying themselves. But at some point, they passed by a Board with news and other media and information. One of the posters including the upcoming Musical Xandri was going to be part of in Sinnoh and how it was supposed to be life transmitted on TV.
It came back to Xandri like a shock. “Oh fuck! I forgot about that! Dad, I have to take a boat to Sinnoh, I need to hurry. You and your trainer don't need to wait here for me, but we can meet again when I'm back.” he said rather nervous and uneasy.
“Calm down Xandri, hehe.” Xandri father said with a calming voice, petting his sons head, “Go ahead. We will have enough time from now on.”
Xandri hugs his father tight, chuckling: “I cant put in words how glad I am this isn't a dream. I will be sure to come Back soon daddy. There is so much more we need to talk about~ See you soon!”
With those words, the unusually colored Sableye ran off, looking back, waving to his father with a happy smile.
“See you soon, Xandri!” his father responded, waving back.

Eager to get going, Xandri quickly went home, packing some things before heading out to take a Taxi. Reaching the harbor of Castelia City, he had to avoid a lot of fans and paparazzi, but he made it in time for the ferry that was taking him back to Sinnoh.
The travel was a nice Change of pace. It reminded Xandri on his travels a few years ago. He also realized now with raising fame, he would see a lot of the world, places he was unable to visit before and without having to be afraid of getting caught! Sure, one or two balls flew against his head before, but thanks to him already having a ball thats sealed away, no one can catch him anyway.

It was a calm sea, the sky a bit cloudy, not letting too much sunlight through to blind anyone, but also not too less. Though Xandri wasn't able to continue his thought as he was tabbed onto his shoulder. A bit surprised, he turned around, shocked as he saw none other than Zeil and Glyph standing there.
“Surprise!” Zeil called out, still the same attitude as ever.
Without much thought, Xandri hugged his two friends tight, finding some careful resistance on Glyphs side, replying: “H-how high are the chances?! Zail, Glyph! Im glad to see you again! How have you been? … Aside from winning the League of cause~” Xandri said, smiling wide and awfully happy.
“We are done in Unova, so we go and continue our journey in Sinnoh. By the way, you know about us winning?” Glyph wondered as he tilted his head in surprise.
“Of cause I do. You beat up my dad and made him able to visit me. You guys are amazing, you helped me way too many times by now.”
“Maybe, but dont get any ideas of repaying us little guy. We are friends, thats the least we can do.” Zail answered calm and relaxed.
“T-true~ … Still, you are going to Sinnoh? Same purpose? That will be difficult. Sinnoh is a rough place if it comes to strength. Not sure if I mentioned, but this is where I came from.” the Sableye explained.
“You shouldn't worry about us. We wont take it easy on anyone.” Glyph responded.
“Hehe, thats good! I have a Musical over there, but after that, I will visit my Mother. Luckily the Musical is in the harbor city, so I don't have to travel all around the region.”
“Thats nice! Where does your mother live? Maybe we see her when we pass by.” Zeil asked.
“Mount Coronet. Good luck searching. Will be quite a big area to cover.” Xandri said, chuckling.
“Watch out, I wont go easy on you either.” Glyph said, smirking a bit.
Slightly shocked, the eyes from Xandri widen, before he chuckled nervously: “H-hey, dont joke around with that. I am not a good fighter after all...”
“OH, maybe Glyph didn't mean fighting!” Zeil said in a rather childish manner, causing Glyph to get rather grumpy: “Shut up, thats definitely not what I meant....”
Xandri just giggled even though he didn't get the joke: “You two are funny. Hey, it will take a while until we are there. Lets go downstairs and have some lunch!”
“Good idea actually. Come on Glyph, move your grumpy ass!” Zeil said, chuckling again as he was running ahead.
Glyph grumbled: “... Hes always teasing me when hes excited~ Anyway, lets go Xandri.”
“Sure!”
Together with Glyph, Xandri followed Zeil into the interior of the ship to enjoy a good old lunch with his close friends.

The trip with the ship was over just a day later. The three friends spend the time exchanging stories of all sorts until the ship reached the harbor of Canalava city of Sinnoh.
After setting foot on solid ground, Zeil sighed right away: “Well then Xandri, we both have things to do. You have to get ready for the Musical tomorrow and we need to get ready for the gym of the city. Steel types aren't all that dangerous to dark types, but still not a easy opponent. Good luck, we will try to watch your Musical!”
“Of cause! I will get ready and hopefully see you tomorrow. If not, well, I hope we will see each-other again.” Xandri said with a bit of a sad smile.
Zeil chuckles, petting his Sableye friend on the head: “Don't worry silly. Sooner or later we will meet again, no matter what. Now, bye my friend. Was great to see you again!”
“You know how I feel, you wont make me say anything, will ya?” Glyph asked, raising a eyebrow.
“Of cause not, Glyph, just feel hugged and hope to see you again too.” Xandri said, chuckling a little.
With a nod, Glyph would follow Zeil, who was waving back at the Sableye.
Watching his friends vanish into the busy city, Xandri kept waving. After they were gone, he sighed and got moving towards the Hotel.

The evening was rather short since Xandri was heading to bed early to be ready for the Musical. In the morning, he ate his breakfast and took a quick shower before heading for the Theater. He demanded his personal changing cabin, which wasn't a problem whatsoever. There was no way Xandri would risk anyone to see his scar. Even though his current costume didn't include anything to cover his left arm, he just added a skintight sleeve that was fitting perfectly to the outfit.
The entire first half of the day Xandri spent preparing and training with the local actors.

In the afternoon the time was finally there. It wasn't anything difficult for Xandri anymore and he performed perfecty. None of the other actor had a major slip up, just as expected from professionals. Soon enough the Musical was over. To Xandris disappointment, Zeil didn't make it, but the Sableye didn't mind. He smiled as he left the building, trying to avoid the groups of fans. His beforehand ordered Taxi was already waiting for him...

… But right before he made it, a rather exhausted but also seemingly scared Medicham held onto the Sableye, panicking slightly: “A-alex!? Is that you?! Im so glad to see you again! L-listen, my trainer is a asshole. She doesn't give a shit about me and just expects me to do better and blames me for being not strong enough whenever I fail, not even giving me anything to eat. You are part of a group fighting for Pokemon in need like me, don't you? Please help me!” it begged, close to crying.
Xandri eyes were wide in surprise, but the fact this Madicham knew his name made him clear who hes talking to. The “friend” that left him for “cooler” Pokemon. Part of the first group that ever treated him like shit for nothing but his looks. And now she comes and expects help?
“... You? You have to ask me for help? Someone who's enough of a dick to treat me like shit for nothing but my color!” he yelled, no one ever saw Xandri this mad before, ”You do not deserve any better! I did this to help all kinds of Pokemon, but to me, you aren't even a Pokemon! Now, leave me alone!”
The Medichan was shocked, going on her knees. Starting to cry slowly. She knew she fucked up big time, but what could she do? It happened and she was still a kid back then. There was nothing she could to do change what happened in the past...
“I … I …” she stuttered, unsure what to do or say while Xandri was already in the Car and door closed. Just before it was too late though, she pulled herself together one last time: “I-IM SORRY!”
A few seconds passed in silence until the motor of the car started. Just when Medicham thought it was too late, the window of the taxi opened and Xandri flipped a little card through it.
“Here, take that to the local Police. It proves that I sent you and they will contact the nearest office of our Group. They will judge the situation and help you if needed. I don't help you because I like you, but because I know I'm better than you. But the apology is accepted, maybe you aren't quite lost after all. Goodbye!” Xandri said, closing the window right after, followed by the Car heading off.
Medicham held the card, a slight smile forming: “T-thank you!” And with that she ran off to the nearest Police office as she was told.

Xandri was not happy to see his past again. This entire Region was not to his liking. But for the generous pay, the Taxi took him just where he wanted to get. By the time half the way to mount Coronet was behind him, it was already dark. The night sky made Xandri think of all that happened once more. How he started here in this Region and the entire journey that now lead him back to the place of his birth. His friends he now had also gone through his mind. But in the end, all he wanted to do in this Region now was to visit his Mother.

After two hours of travel, in the middle of the night, Xandri reached the cave of his birth. Stepping inside he felt the familiar air surround him. Shivers rushing down his spine, though at this time of the day, not many Pokemon were active. The Sableye made his way to his home right away. No noises coming from it. Looking inside, Xandri discovered his mother, sleeping. Tears instantly running down his cheeks, but he wouldn't want to rip her out of her sleep. So he instead headed for his room. Even more Tears flowing as he silently cried. Alexandrite was moved to see everything just like he remembered it.
Lying down in his rocky bed, he cried himself to sleep rather quickly.

The next morning didn't last long for Xandri. He woke up soon enough as his mother was standing in the doorway: “A-Alexandrite, i-is that really you? T-that cant be, i-i must be dreaming still...”
Xandri stood up right away, starring at his mother. Again tears running down the side of his face, smiling wide as he spread his arms: “M-mom, t-this isn't a dream~ I arrived last night but didn't want to wake you up, h-hehe.”
“Oh Alex, I'm so glad to see you are alright.” she said, crying slowly in happiness, her hug getting even tighter, making the breathing for Xandri rather difficult.
“M-Mom, pls, I would prefer if you call me Xandri I … left the nickname Alex behind me ever since... well. Let me tell you everything...” he said and together with his mother he set down on his rocky bed, explaining everything that happened.

It was hard for his mother to hear what Xandri gone through after he left, but it also made her even happier to see him alright.
The majority of the day the two spend talking. In the end, Xandri decided to stay a view days, helping out his mother and spending time with her. But finally after a few days, he had to head back home. But he didn't want to leave his mother all to herself, alone with no one around and a life that is not easy to sustain. It quickly became clear to him what he had to do. Xandri stood in front of his mother, holding out his right claw and asked her: “Do you want to come with me?”
It took a bit for his mother to respond, but she agreed, grabbing her sons claw and leaving the cave, forever.

The way back to Unova was quite long. A cab, a ferry and another cab, all together taking nearly two days of time. But finally back in Unova, back home, Xandri opened the door to his apartment and finally, after over twenty years, his mother saw her husband again. They hesitated for a moment before falling into each others arms, finally reunited. Xandri just watched, smiling as he was filled with joy and relieve. His broken family, his broken life. All was repaired now, not just that, but it was even better than before, more than he ever imagined actually.

Here it was, Xandris new life. He became known in most regions for his acting skills, starring in multiple musicals and even movies at some point. He regularly had video-contact with his best friends, Zeil and Glyph. His parents were a happy couple again and worked hard on catching up on the time they missed.
The anti pokemon abuse movement Xandri was part of made a lot of progress. Xandri even got back in contact with Medicham and after some time, he forgave her completely, accepting her back at one of his friends.
Zeils and Glyphs adventure is a story for another day, and with that, everything turned out to end well. No matter the hardships, Xandri made it to a happy, wealthy life in the end!
