the tail leaf is actually a false flower used to attract prey, their dark green color allowing them to hide in thick grass with the tail flower sticking up, using several vines in the ground to snare their prey.
And unlike normal snivy their hands and feet are equipped with claws for crabbing onto their prey and for climbing trees, they can also be used for combat quite effectively, they are very skilled climbers and extremely stealthy hunters, the evolutionary advantages of their bodies all maximize their survival in the wild unlike their domesticated counterparts.
