confident, cocky, abit smug, and sometimes a jerk but later warms up to wisecracks as well as being a kind hearted soul

Background/History
a citizen of mobius-982 and pro player of a speedball team the empire city super sonic's he grew up in modest living despite living in a world where humans ran things and subjugated the mobian people for the past 560 years where civil unrest was a thing and terrorism attacks were quite often of late after moving to the big city and being selected for his team he was enjoying the much needed perks of being a speedball player and enjoyed the high society living much to the digust of his sister ashley who wanted him not to be a corperate mascot. and wanted him to fight for something more then himself.
let's just say his sister's words fell on deaf ears and ignored alot of what his sister was telling him until one night during a game that he was in against the spangonia knuckle dusters he'd received a phone call that his sister had been seriously injuried in an attack on meteor tech HQ one of his sponsers. so after going to the hospital to check on his sister lets just say he wasnt too happy seeing her sister in such an injuried state. as he went to see his employer who got him on the team Aaron delgato who was busy testing the effects of chaos energy on human test subjects in a Meteor tech lab which most of the tests ended in failure due to not being compatible with either chaos energy or phantom ruby energy after nearly destroying onyx island to get their hands on them.
so after malcolm approached his boss about his sister's condition and the way they treated his contract with him to lose so many games in a season and make him the "heel" of the team. malcolm had enough and told Aaron to give him a better contract and his sister better medical care or else he would go to the news telling them of his experimentation on human test subjects doing god knows what to them. which his boss the serpent that he was came with a counter offer by having his guards grab malcolm and his hospitalized sister preparing them for a special project of his known only as the chaos project.by infusing chaos cels into malcolm and ashley briggs delgato hoped to make a new type of soldier a corperate raider as it were and after strapping malcolm in to begin the project he had watched helplessly whilst his sister went first turning her into a chaos infused and yet formless being with no will or mind of her own. furious malcolm tried to get loose from his bonds before the device made him into the same thing but fate had other plans for the man as the machine started again and the beam struck his body a terrorist assault happened onto the building lead by a female black hedgehog who looked very similar to shadow homing attacked the device changing the program from chaos monster to mobian infused dna and with the chaos emeralds powering the device it changed malcolm from a once proud human to a proud mobian. who after the change was rescued followed by his chaos changed sister and the two were brought up to the terrorist group's HQ a place called knothole located on an island called christmas. and when malcolm came and around he was less then pleased at the results of his new body as well as finding out that the mobians he thought were extincted was very much alive and lead by a female echidna named jani-ca who called themselves the freedom fighters.
and after explaining the whole backstory of their group as well as malcolm's sudden and strange cosmic powers. he at first was relucant to join opting for revenge for what Delgato did to him and his sister but was convince by branwen the female shadow not to pursue such a path but he didnt listen and left their HQ with only one request to take care of his sister for him. upon reaching the outside however the place was crawling with meteor tech flyers and drones all with guns aimed at the HQ to claim back Malcolm and his sister. but the new hedgehog wouldnt have it as he in his anger and fury burst out a massive energy blast destroying the robots and flyers instantly only to tire himself out.
