I've told this story everytime I have to give a badge which was done in any traditional media.
Once a friend gave me a badge, one of the cutest I've ever gotten, it was for sure I wanted to be using it. It was traditional, unique piece, made of felt.
During a con, I realized the badge was gone, I was not wearing it anymore, at some point I lost it and I never noticed when. I had the hope that someone would take it at Lost and found or Con-Ops, but that never happened. I had never lost a single badge, and the only one had to be an original piece!!
That's why I want to save that misfortune to everyone who I do badges for, and give them two pieces, the original one (so that way they can keep it on a safe place, or frame it if they liked it so much), and a digital copy, double faced and laminated, so if it gets lost, they are losing only a copy, not an original piece.
Now talking about this particular badge, Texas Furry Fiesta is gonna be the first convention of Frits Rabbit, and he's rooming with me, so this is a gift for him for his very first con, I'm sure he's gonna have a blast!!
Traditional. Color markers.
