What are Shimej? I know they're animations, but what are they used for? Telegram?

A Shimeji is a mascot for your computer (Windows only, is usable on Mac and Linux but depends of external programs) and you can give it the appeareance you want if you draw the animations properly :3 The character walks around your screen and you can interact with it, grabbing it with the mouse, throwing it, etc ^w^ worths a try if you never did before! The only thing you need is updated Java~

Besides, along with my friend we are improving the code more and more. Soon they should be able to be petted, to eat, etc! At some point we will even add a bit of Artificial Intelligence! So yeah, if you are new to Shimeji, I encourage you to try this one ^w^ I am already working on a version with sounds of this one, which will be released when will be finished and without errors.

I can't test it by myself, but few days ago I asked a friend and he said it SHOULD work with the "Wine" program. If you are a Linux user you should know what is it ^w^ if you make a try and it works, please let me know <3 apart from that, you need Java installed and updated for the Shimeji.

well I haven't had any luck so far just running it in Java, I didn't realize it was a java thing at first, it should work in linux without Wine because Java is cross-platform.

I found a project on github to make shimejis work in Linux but it seems to be buggy...

Sooner or later our project will reach a point to make them work into Linux and Mac, but Shimeji was created for Windows, so of course the existent stuff is for sure buggy. For now is not a priority neither, so... unless there will be a big demand through the programmer's Patreon, we can't rush with it because there are other things to do first ;w;/

I had faith in that Wine thing, but if doesn't work, I don't know what existent thing can be tried. I guess nothing until we reach that point in the project.
