Ok, i've never really played the third part of the excellent Shinobi series but i really liked the theme, when i stumbled upon it on youtube, quite a while ago. I've been working on this since.. dunno.. i think since November 2010, but never was really satisfied with the whole quality. I think it is about time now to finish it and here it is :)

Revenge of Shinobi is without a doubt the best in the Shinobi series. It was considered a breakthrough in home videogaming through arcade graphics, gameplay and superior sound. when it was released on the megadrive in 1990, it outsold all other megadrive games available at the time and is still praised to this day, as a true sega classic. The cover you did by the way is awesome!

i must add that i've only played Shinobi on the Game Gear and never actually had the chance to play any Mega Drive version of it. But even the Game Gear version was absolutely excellent. I really liked the highway level and the rainy port level. I've never seen anything similar before or after on that handheld. Especially if you consider that it was actually 8 bit hardware :O
Yes, the Shinobi series was really a benchmark.
