A simple and perhaps rather boring title, but I think it says all that's needed. More than anything, this image, to me, seems to capture Grace's unwavering confidence and optimism for the future. She has had a lot of hard times in her life in recent years. Everything from losing her kingdom and wandering in a strange land far from everything she ever knew, to selling her body on the street for food. She has even been murdered in various nasty ways and brought back to life again in a way that is only slightly less unpleasant. Throughout it all, her curse has hovered over her like some grim specter, the worst of its effects mitigated only slightly by the magic of the collar she wears. But, through it all and despite everything, she has never lost her confidence in herself or her sense of self-worth. She has never lost her desire to make the world she lives in a better place, even in the smallest of ways, or her sense of curiosity and fun. These last two are what make a fox a fox, or so she would tell you.
And yes, this is Grace fully and modestly dressed for the first time in who knows how long! Well, even she has to take a break now and then.
who very kindly chose Grace as a model for their cel-shaded tier on their price sheet. And who likely didn't expect to inspire such a load of drivel with it. They do incredible work and are really nice, so if you get a chance to commission them, do so!
This image perfectly sums up Grace. Smile saucily in the face of adversity, and use it as a trampoline to jump up to greater things. She's a lovely gal. She has that look that says she knows what she wants and how to get it by the shortest route. =3

She basically shares my philosophy on life which is that as long as you're still breathing, there's always hope. And sometimes even when you're not, if you can bounce back from even death the way she can. She's pretty good at turning things around and finding the good in almost every situation. And, where she can't, she can make her own. Of course, having so many wonderful friends in her life helps a lot, too. *Grins* And she does tend to take the shortest route to get what she wants. But, having gotten it, she can take a long time to savor it, too.

I absolutely agree! Saucy did an amazing job with this, and I love the pose and the attitude they captured here. Grace really does look ready for just about anything. I'm really glad you like her attitude re the rest of her life, too. I've always felt that, so long as you're still alive there's still hope, and I kind of wanted Grace to have the same outlook because I think it helps more than just wallowing in despair. Like I've said, that's why I like Poly so much, too. Your commissions of her have really inspired me to try to show this side of Grace a bit more in the future.

I always find myself coming back to this picture of Grace. I think it perfectly encapsulated her personality, and that priceless 'you know you love me' look. <3

Oh, so do I. It's one of my favorite pictures of Grace and it does capture her confident, and maybe slightly cheeky, personality really well. Given this was both a sort of raffle prize and a wing-it, I don't know how closely
read the info on her ref, or if they bothered to do so at all, but they captured Grace's essence so beautifully and I was so thrilled to get such a gorgeous picture from such a talented artist!
