I don't know why you think that makes it "illegitimate," nor do I have any idea what you mean by "cheap," "smut" or "merit" in this context. But a quick comparison of the "Popular" and "Recent" tabs would indicate that artwork that is on-model gets more favorites/appreciation per image than comparatively low-quality works. So I disagree with what I think you're saying, but there is clearly a language barrier and I could be mistaken.

I'm genuinely confused. It's very clear that this image has received far more views and favorites than the rule 34 images posted around the same time (13 hrs. ago). Their statement is provably inaccurate. I still can't understand what they mean by "cheap"? Is poor quality an indicator of price somehow?
