My first Artwork of 2018. Sad to say its nothing particularly related to the turning of the year. I could of uploaded it earlier but i wanted to save this for the start of 2018 to commemorate a new annual beginning.
I will be honest while a lot of this particular art is one off. I am heavily considering making the outfits of Both Yuri and Lamia part of thier standard design. Yuri's in particular becoming combat wear whilst retireing her classic outfit for casual purposes. Perhaps if they are well received then maybe.
And now for the attached lore...-
After the tragic demise of Lord Cedric Violet, The people of Psycaro's capital found it difficult to find a replacement to their champion whom not only commanded the countries armies to defend his glorious home. He also held the recognition as one of Novalla's 4 heroes to slay Emporer Soctren in days of old.
Alas... With no one to meet his own standards and his only heirs either declared dead or living far away. No one could find a suitable successor... Which only made things worse in the years to come...
2 years after the tragedy at the hands of the illusion witch Laufeia. The capital encountered a new tyrant in the form of the Earlstwine Army, Led by a Lord Percival Earlstwine. A Vita Novian Aristocrat and A foul despicable man who reveled in the desire of power and glory.
He and Lord Violet were on very good circumstances in buisness until Earlstwines attempt to steal the Violet house's power and riches with foul play, becoming exiled when the news broke.
Still angry in modern times. Through money, false propaganda and fear he gathered and formed a powerful army comprised of old veterans, wanted scoundrels and even bribed civilians of Psycaro resulting in a City Siege with little effort.
Of course... News travels fast.
Horrified and disgusted by this disgrace of her home country. Yuri made no hesitation to stand against this terrorism. With the help of the Barrage Squad she was able to slip into Psycaro only to become separated from them afterwards. Outnumbered yet able to stand with her sword skills and psychic abilities. Yuri proceeds to Fight back and begins seeking a rebellion, in spite of all the odds being against her.
She would not be the only one with such a burden... For her sister Lili (now known as Lamia.) also heard about this.
Despite the direct orders from Cyrex to not go. Lamia defied the doctor intent of freeing her fathers home. It was clear even though her life was ruined at the hands of her sister (or so she believes). The elder twin still loved her post-humous father enough to go against the man that practically saved her life. Even going as far to steal a batch of Chaosonium shots for the trip.
Fate had it's fleeting yet ironic use of the cards in its deck. When the twins would cross paths, Yuri almost feeling a fight coming. Of course. Usually angry and hateful for everything Yuri stands for. Lamia put her hatred and bitterness aside caring more for their fathers
glory for the country. In an unlikely circumstance. The Violet twins decided to join forces to fight for Psycaro together... For the people. For the freedom and for their father.
They will bring. Libération
