So this is my art review of the year 2017, with examples picked from each month I liked especially. Overall I'm satisfied with my advancements in the craft of drawing, and I also was able to gain more experience with doing commissions, of which I did an increasing number this year.
With all this came the rising feeling of the more I learn, the more I still have to learn. It became more difficult for me to be satisfied with my own art, and at some point of the year I got into a daily grind and started feeling monotonous in my art.
That's why I had to change my focus around the mid of this year from quantity to quality, concentrating more on finding dynamic poses and compositions, and adding more elaborate backgrounds, even if that means spending more hours on a single piece.
