Here are the real "CATS" this Christmas, and a look back at a ghost of Christmas past. In March 2017, the art-comic world lost Gene Catlow (pictured here in feral form alongside his femme alter-ego, CatsWhisker), who in the regular human-world was artist/writer Albert Temple. The shock of his loss lingers… I still expect to see his newest submission, or read his latest comment. I miss his wit and charm and intelligence and warmth. And I would say I miss his spirit, except that whenever I see or read a post on the art-sites that strives to be open-minded, or that seeks the best in something, I feel like I am in the aura of Gene's spirit. It's out there, and whenever I detect it, I try to let some of it shine on me (and I sure can use it, too). For all of us who have to soldier on, I wish us luck. Gene can't be with us, but we can do the next best thing by being there for each other as Gene would have done. And for the record: I reposted his pic on my own initiative—no one asked me to do it, nor did I seek anyone's permission. I know this is a sad-making post, but I have an antidote: just look at this cartoon. It's really funny, isn't it? I mean, darnitall, Gene, you were, and are, a whole lotta fun! ^+^
I will forever love Gene for all his inspirations and interactions with my late hubby Blindrabbit... They both were such characters in their own right. Loving, fun, full of life.
I hope they both live forever as an inspiration to us all..
Tiffany..
