This roboburd is so freaking cute. His metallic cameltoe peets are awesome. I want an emotionally responsive robot ostrich but the television keeps trying to sell me a robot jar opener.
I know! His squeak voice is so adorable and the way he's protective of (err, forget the kid's name) with his wings. He's one of those characters who really stand out as ridiculously cute.

So I see. I found some videos from that series on YouTube and didn't care for them much. But I found a clip from Disney UK with a replacement robot for MERC and it looks a lot like the jar opening robot, which is weird. I think they may have intended to make it look like the evil robot from The Black Hole only a bit less aggressive looking.
