This was for an art gallery final exam I had to do where each student had to create a piece of street art (something that could be spray painted in an urban area) with research on the culture behind street art in mind.
I decided to make something to represent my childhood, where I witnessed domestic abuse against my mother and verbal/emotional abuse on myself. I remember feeling like an innocent prisoner, but I learned to accept I was just little and powerless until I eventually grew out of that. The reason for it being "furry" is because I feel many parents nowadays either neglect or inadvertently harm their kids, causing them to have more animalistic characteristics.
It's a bit different from my normal cutesie style, but I wanted to go for a dark and bold theme.
