Yeah, i was a bit surprised that TLJ's themes remind me a bit of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. Not that im complaining or anything, I love that game for what it says about Star Wars in general. What that game taught me helped me appreciate TLJ in a good way.

You know how people were expecting that rey's parents to be this big reveal? Well, if you look at kreia's dialouge, its her way of saying "you're expecting a big reveal? Nah! "
For rey's parents, there was never a big reveal, just people who sold her off for drinking money. To half the fanbase, that revelation wasnt epic.

ah yes i understand what you are saying now. i had to go back and watch a bunch of youtube videos about Kreia's conundrums. (Darth Traya's inspiration for this alt will be MUCH more evident later on btw)
yeah when i FIRST saw episode 7 i was SOOO thinking she was Luke's daughter, but then why wouldn't he recognize her at the end of the episode? some friends said that they were hoping she was the granddaughter of obi-wan, and i LOVED the idea..... however, could you really see obi-wan shacking up with anyone? i think that the reveal that her parents are nobodies, in the long run, was a good decision. especially with maz telling rey that "whoever she was waiting for wasnt coming back"

yeah that was another thing that i wasnt sure about after seeing 8.... at first i thought he was just lying to her because how would he even know all that? however, it still does really work for the story if it was the truth. my bigger question is just how does Kylo Ren even KNOW?!
