He's having some mental difficulties because at first he was in accident where he lost ability to walk, run, jump on rooftops etc. and then soon after that Leonardo, the only one who was there for him and was taking care of him, was called in a war and he's been gone a year now. Raphael haven't had a time to grief for his lost and Leo's leaving all that good or much so now, eventually, everything is crushing him and boiling out of his system.
