On Planet Fastoon, a young female lombax was smiling as she walked across the planet's sandy-textured ground, watching as many other lombaxes around her talk to one another and smile as she walks past. She was a pale mocha-furred creature with short chestnut-coloured hair and emerald-coloured eyes. Walking beside her was an older golden-furred lombax with dark orange stripes and paler emerald-coloured eyes.
Since many of the lombaxes on Fastoon were already adults, lombax births were not a common occurance, so the young male walking beside her, had kept a very close eye on his beloved throughout the duration of her gestation.
As the young female walks, she looks down upon her rather large belly and gently placed both of her hands upon it. She was now eight months pregnant and was expecting the birth of her baby any day soon.
As she continues to walk, she soon gasps as she feels a strong kick from her belly. She pants a bit and slows down her walking pace before watching as the young male lombax walks ahead of her.
"K-Kaden?"
The young male lombax, named Kaden, feels his ears twitch as he hears the young female's voice. He turns around and makes a worried expression as he notices that she had slowed down her walking pace, significantly. He heads over to her and gently takes her hands into his own.
"W-what is it, Alessa? Are you feeling alright?"
Alessa smiles as the kick soon subsides. She looks down at her bump and gently rubs her hand against it before looking up at Kaden.
"I... I am alright. But I think the baby may be close..."
Kaden smiles proudly as he looks upon his beloved's large belly. He gently runs his hand against it and places a gentle kiss upon Alessa's muzzle.
"It won't be long now, my love. I'll take you to the medical wing to prepare..."
The young female giggles a bit and nods as she returns the kiss.
"Yes... I cannot wait, Kaden."

As the young lombax couple continued to walk across the plains, they eventually ended up outside the medical wing. Kaden takes Alessa's hand as he helps her up the stairs to the entrance.
"Easy, my love... these steps can be difficult."
Alessa makes a cheeky smirking expression as she places a hand on her hip.
"Excuse me Kaden, but I'm not quite as old as you~"
Kaden chuckles as he walks beside her and towards the medical wing's labour unit.
"I didn't say that, my love... I meant with the addition of our little one. He or she must be a bit heavier than usual..."
Alessa smiles and continues to smirk as she whispers into Kaden's ear.
"I know, I was only teasing you~"
"You cheeky lombax~"
Alessa giggles once again as Kaden places a gentle kiss on her muzzle.

As Kaden and Alesso approach the labour unit, they soon notice another lombax heading towards their direction. Kaden smiles and waves as he recognises the figure.
"Alister!"
The white-furred lombax smiles and perks up his ears as he heads over to the young couple.
"Kaden, Alessa... it is good to see you again! How have you been doing, Alessa?"
Alessa smiles as she gently rubs her belly before looking up at Alister.
"Quite tired... but the little one will be due any day now."
Alister smiles as he kneels down in front of Alessa's belly. He looks up at the young female before speaking.
"May I...?"
Alessa smiles and nods as she looks down at Alister. The young male reaches out his hand and gently places it onto her belly. He then gasps a bit as he feels a kick.
"It seems that the little one is quite impatient to come out..."
Alessa giggles as she looks over to Kaden, resting her head upon his shoulder. Kaden smiles as he looks over to Alister before pointing to a nearby sign.
"I was just taking Alessa to the labour unit. I feel that it's for the best that she stays here throughout the birth..."
Alister smiles and nods as he stands from his kneeling position.
"I understand. It's all rather exciting now, isn't it?"
"It is..."
Alessa nods and is about to speak but she soon groans in pain and bends forward a bit, clutching her belly. Alister and Kaden exchange worried expressions as they rush to her aid, each of them wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Alessa! Are you alright?!"
Alessa pants a bit and lowers her ears, feeling a strong and painful feeling coursing through her body.
"I... I d-don't know... I t-think the baby might be ready to come out..."
Alister and Kaden once again exchange panicked expressions as they help Alessa get into the labour unit. Alessa breathes quickly and soon makes a small whimpering sound as she feels her water break beneath her.
"K-Kaden... my water j-just broke..."
Kaden opens his eyes widely as he notices Alessa beginning to keel over in pain. He looks over to Alister before looking ahead of him, pulling both Alister and Alessa towards a bed within the unit.
Once they arrive at the bed, Alister releases his grasp on Alessa and steps back as Kaden takes over. Kaden gently takes Alessa into his arms and lays her upon the bed before gently holding her hands.
"Don't worry, my love... I will look for someone to help!"
Alessa reaches her hand out to Kaden as he runs off to find someone. She then yells out in pain and grits her teeth, feeling her contractions get stronger. Alister gently holds one of her hands and places his hand on top of hers.
"Kaden will be back soon, Alessa..."
Alessa pants and smiles softly as she nods to Alister. A few seconds later, she feels another strong contraction and yells in pain once again. At that same moment, Kaden runs into the room with a young lombax nurse and heads to Alessa's side. He gently takes her hand and looks over to Alister.
"Thanks Alister, I'll take it from here."
Alister releases Alessa's hand and nods before heading out to the waiting area, outside the labour unit.
The young lombax nurse smiles softly as she looks beneath Alessa's dress, noticing that she was already starting the labour process.
"You got here at the right time, Alessa... looks like your baby is quite close!"
Alessa smiles a bit but soon yells out in pain as she goes through another contraction. She lowers her ears and tightens her grip on Kaden's hand as she begins to push.

"You're almost there, Alessa! I can see the head!"
Alessa grits her teeth and tightly grips Kaden's hand as she feels another painful contraction surge through her. Kaden groans a bit from the tight grip around his hand but smiles down at Alessa.
"Keep going, honey... you're doing really well!"
The nurse looks between her legs and gently places her hands onto her thighs as she smiles up at the young female.
"Just one more push, Alessa! You'll have to make it quite a big one though!"
Alessa screams in pain and throws her head back as she pushes once more.
A few seconds later, the room is filled with the sound of an infant crying loudly. Alessa pants and slowly raises her head, looking up at the nurse as she holds the infant in her arms. The nurse rises to her feet and looks down at the tiny lombax in her arms before smiling up at Kaden and Alessa.
"Congratulations! It's a boy!"
Kaden and Alessa both exchange smiles and Alessa makes a soft expression as she looks up at Kaden.
"A b-boy... just what we wanted..."
Kaden smiles and nods before gently kissing Alessa's lips. He pulls away a few seconds later and watches as the nurse cuts her cord and carries the baby over to a nearby changing table. She dresses up the little lombax kit and wraps a blanket around him before picking him up and walking over to Kaden and Alessa.
The little infant cries out and clenches his fists, beginning to feel impatient. The nurse giggles as she looks down at the little kit and whispers to him.
"It's alright, little one... you'll see your mommy and daddy soon."
Kaden and Alessa both smile as the nurse walks over and gently places the tiny kit into Alessa's arms. The young female looks down in her arms and wags her tail slightly as she gently pulls away part of the blanket, revealing her kit's face.
The little kit had bright golden fur, a little pink nose, orange stripes and a tiny tuft of hair upon his head. He sniffles and continues to clench his fists as he wriggles around within the blanket. Alessa smiles and grits her teeth as she feels a pool of tears gather within her eyes.
"Oh, Kaden... he's beautiful."
Kaden smiles and gently runs a hand along the little kit's cheek as he admires his appearence. The little kit makes a small squeaking sound and gently wraps his tiny hand around Kaden's finger. Kaden chuckles and leans over the little kit, kissing his muzzle before looking up at Alessa.
"He certainly is."
Alessa smiles and continues to admire the little kit as he begins to wiggle his nose, attempting to sniff his surroundings. Alessa giggles and gently leans forward, kissing the tiny kit's nose.
The little kit squeaks and soon lets out a small sneeze, causing Kaden to chuckle.
"Bless you, son~"
Alessa holds the little kit close to her chest as he begins to whimper and lowers his ears slightly. He nuzzles into the young female's chest and sobs, starting to feel hungry. Alessa smiles as she looks down at the little kit and gently runs her hand across his muzzle.
"Are you hungry, little angel?"
The little kit whimpers and soon begins to nurse off Alessa as Kaden assists with the feed. Kaden chuckles and gently grooms the little kit before watching him nurse.
"It certainly looks like he was..."
Alessa giggles and admires her little boy as he nurses. She gently kisses his forehead and smiles as he coughs a bit and slowly opens his eyes, looking up at her. He coos and stares up at Alessa's teal-hued eyes with his emerald green ones.
Alessa smiles down at the little kit and whispers to Kaden.
"Kaden, look... he has your eyes."
Kaden looks down at the little kit and smiles proudly as he looks up at him.
"He does, my love... but he has your curiosity."
Alessa giggles as the little kit finishes feeding and soon lets out a small burp.
"Well, excuse you, little one~!"
Kaden chuckles as he wraps an arm around Alessa's shoulder and kneels down to the little kit's level.
"What do you want to call him, my love?"
Alessa smiles as she gently takes the little kit's hand into her own. She then looks down as the little kit stares up at her with his emerald-coloured eyes.
"I think we should go with the one we decided on. I think it suits him..."
Kaden smiles and nods as he admires the little kit.
"Aiden?"
"Yes... I think it suits him well."
Kaden smiles and nods in agreement as he gently caresses the little kit's cheek. The little kit squeals and gently grips his father's finger with his tiny hand, causing the young couple to smile.
"Welcome to Fastoon, Aiden..."
