I basically had an idea for the next Ratchet and Clank game and decided to draw it. If the game ends up being a sequel to Nexus, I like to imagine a scene where Clank manages to fix the Dimensionator, after the Nexus ending, and once again the portal opens to the Lombax Dimension.
Ratchet comes across the portal and makes a questionable expression as a figure emerges on the other side. He notices that the figure looked like an older version of himself and reaches his hand out, noticing that the figure mirrors his action. He then comes to a sudden realisation when the figure's hand and his hand touch one another's. The two figures stare to each other before the figure inside the portal speaks...
"Son?"
At that moment, Ratchet realises that his father, Kaden, had been alive all of this time within the Lombax Dimension. He gently interlocks his fingers with the figure's.
"...f-father?"
Before Ratchet could speak another word, he gasps as the figure comes out of the portal and pulls him into an embrace.
Pretty deep and emotional stuff, I know x3 But I just thought it would be an interesting scene for the next game! Then Ratchet would have to decide, once again, whether or not to enter the portal or to stay with Clank, despite no danger now being present...
I wanted to make Kaden look a bit older so I added a few subtle wrinkle lines, since I don't know how to draw Lombaxes as an older age ^^;
