I was busy all weekend, and one of the things on the schedule was to paint Mickey on my dad's shed. I almost didn't get it started, but when it was time to head back home, I decided it was now or never. I knew it wouldn't take long, so that was extra reason why I'd feel bad if I didn't get to it.
This was actually done in Sharpie, for speed. My dad will finish the painting on his own time, I just wanted to make sure I got the lines laid down because he's not an artist. It looked perfect when I drew it, but now I'm noticing a little off-modelness. It'll be seen from the street 2 lots away, so I'm not too concerned. The important thing is that the ears are recognizable.
I was originally considering either Kenny or Stitch, but I don't consider Kenny to be recognizable(who is that? what is that?), and dad didn't consider Stitch to be very recognizable from that distance. Yeah, considering the distance, Mickey is the best choice. You just need 3 tiny circles to be recognizable. I was originally hesitant to draw Mickey because I was thinking a generic pose would be boring. While there, we came up with a "Kilroy wuz here" type of picture. That's interesting.
Cat included for scale and because he really liked my coat.
