Stages are fun. Stages where you can Boost as modern Sonic is SUPER fun (The music dilates as if you really do outrun sound).
Character behaviour and development is meh.... this Eggman has the mental brain apacity of the one from Sonic Boom.... which is to say retarded. It kind of bugs me that Eggman "won" and yet despite keeping Sonic in containment for months with a few rounds of torturing, did not either kill Sonic outright or at least break his legs. And when Infinite reported to him later on that he defeated Sonic again but let him live, Eggman threw up a fuss saying that him being alive is the problem.
Plot is double meh. Prior to game release there was speculation that Infinite used to be Avatar's friend who got brainwashed. Turns out he was just another Mercenary hired by Eggman to protect his research facility but failed, and who willingly let the doc make him more powerful because he hates weakness. And Eggman's final plan to destroy all remaining opposition includes.... destroying everything even himself? >.>;;; good plan, doc....
Well worth the $30 on Steam, though. Stages are fun. Stages where you can Boost as modern Sonic is
