So I tend to listen exclusively to politics and philosophy stuff on youtube, mostly at night to help me relax or in the background when I'm drawing. The other night, for some reason, youtube decided to queue up this video in the middle of a bunch of Sargon of Akkad videos I was listening to:

Needless to say, the pink fox is fucking adorable. So I drew him XP. So, er, well done youtube for inserting a kids song by a South Korean company in the middle of serious videos, I guess XP.

Actually, he does his research, listens to corrections and is very thoughtful and methodical. What you mean is you don't take him seriously because you disagree with his opinion and your dismissive remark tells me it's because you don't know how to argue back XP. Either that or you can't deal with people losing their temper over things they care about, haha.

I've watched those videos, not sure what your point is to be honest XP. Cherrypicking through two of Sargon's videos with misrepresentation and deliberately missing the point. Sargon does what he does to also be entertaining, which those videos you linked me to were not, they were dull and painful to sit through.

You can criticise how entertaining a video is all you want, but I thought he was very soild with his criticisms of Sargon. You can't nudge aside criticism of people you agree with politically and act as if people don't have vaild things to say on both sides, it makes you look like you're extremely biased to one side.

Sargon of Akkad has both well thought out positions and poorly thought out positions. Nuance is extremely important in politics and too many people on both sides are constantly gulity of not embracing this.

Well yes, but your comment to me was that Sargon has shat the bed too many times for you to take him seriously. So you linking me to those videos is supposed to justify your opinion of dismissing him entirely, which they don't. He has made mistakes and errors time and time again, as he acknowledges time and time again, and corrects himself. He has always been committed to the evidence on the whole and his This Week In Stupid and other videos are there to riff on current affairs in a way that entertains and informs. Those videos you linked me to were a pedantic, point by point repetition of minutia, which doesn't interest me. I was expecting you to be trying to demonstrate to me that Sargon is a bloviating windbag, which is what you were implying. Instead you link me to two lengthy, dull, monotone rebuttal videos. If your point is to consider criticism, I already do, and the videos you linked made valid points in places and ridiculous points in others, but what they did not do is make any solid case that Sargon is the sort of person one ought to dismiss. If you weren't making that point to begin with, then all I can say is don't leave pointless comments XP.

Sargon isn't one person to outright dismiss, and yes, perhaps my wording in my orignal comment was poor as it didn't express that. I'm merely fed up with the current state of how people latch onto their side so tightly and avoid all nuance in issues. I suppose you could say that I assumed you did this, and for that I was wrong. I apologise.

Indeed, I used to hold on to my beliefs rather strongly and have had a huge change of heart in the past year, so I watch, listen to and read a very broad range of people these days, from traditional conservative to left wing liberals. Its the authoritarian left and right, communism and theocracy, that I have a serious problem with. I also lament that the left has been almost entirely taken over by its worst elements, socialists and, clinging on the side of Marxism, the bloody postmodernists.

Awwww, I absolutely love this little booger! ^ω^ He's been on my list for a fair bit, I'm still surprised to see anyone draw him, he's a bit obscure. If even a "he". =P You drew 'em super duper adorably! <3
