I don't often feel inspired to draww my own thing in my own time due to college work, but in this instance I managed to do this as a bit of an excuse to try something out.
I wanted to see how well acrylic ink would cross into a digital image, I.e if I made a picture wtih the ink, could I take it into photoshop/sai/etc and colour it well enough to look half-decent?
Well, I reckon it's pretty good, considering how long it's been since I drew Luna.
This was sketched by hand in pencil first, then inked using a very nice reservoir brush. From there it was scanned and taken into Adobe Illustrator, which traced the image and gave me a very good vector to use.
That vector was taken into Sai and coloured, as you see above! :3
Hope it looks good, might make developing this idea for a series a little easier in future.
