It's not to promote art lol, it's an innocent art challenge to get artists out of their comfort zones and try something new ^.^ There are different versions of everything for the same scenario, but Inktober is just the most popular because of Halloween and all of the already-themed art of the month, now with a twist! I used to be a traditional artist for the most part, and then last year I got a tablet and more or less forgot about traditional, except for the occasional sketch here or there, and I looked into this from a referral from a friend and can honestly say that I'm glad I did ^.^ Overall, it doesn't change anything - it simply gives a different perspective for people to apply their artistic talents / abilities to their already existing ideas ^.^ *Also, I have to point out, that saying there's something wrong with an Art Site promoting art is a LITTLE silly, don't you think???*
