Jonty doesn't seem like a pussy to me. Just very alluring to any lusty older females looking to get in trouble with a cute young boy. The author may not have intended it this way. But I feel like he is putting out this vibe that Clem is totally getting sucked into. I may just be reading to much into it because I like the idea.
