Oops! Poor Pepper. That sad, worried look on her face just makes me want to hug her and tell her it'll be okay. Every child should be allowed one broken window in their lives. I wonder if there's any kid who never broke at least one? Besides, her parents should be happy she's out getting some healthy exercise instead of sitting around glued to her computer or her phone like all the other kids nowadays.
The baseball cap is super cute on her, and the broken glass is really well done. I love how the jagged hole frames that poor, sad face. The little fang peeking through even now is just the perfect little touch, too. Just when you thought she couldn't get any more heart-meltingly adorable!

Oh, certainly - if anything, it'll serve as a learning moment about responsibility and diligence! Either way, I imagine her being a pretty well-rounded kid. Plus, she's a bit of a social rebel, and wouldn't be one much to join the bandwagon on having a portable computer that can inadvertently make phone calls! Video games are a thing, though, but all things in balance...
Truth be told, this whole picture took roughly 45 minutes from start to finish! I thankfully had a really vivid mental image how I wanted it to look, and things came together quite fast. Not to mention all this practice from Inktober has upped my skill in general! I'm quite pleased how line weights help give the unbroken glass a certain feel of translucency.

I was really hesitant about doing Inktober, since I'm not horribly familiar with starting from scratch, and laying it all down in pen. However, the rules say that you can lay down initial lines in pencil, so I just set down a rough idea of the picture, then ink over it. Doing it once a day has made the whole process feel a TON more comfortable, even after 12 days.
And you should totally do more cute stuff! You do it well~
