After being injured during a battle with one of Dr Eggman's robots, Sonic and Knuckles are taken to the medical bay where they are cared for by Kira and Maia. Sonic battles through a few tough bruises, one of which is being tended by Kira; meanwhile Knuckles is pushing through some deep scars, caused by Eggman's robot. The girls attend to the boys' needs throughout the day and comfort them by telling them that they are going to be ok.

Wow, I haven't drawn Maia in FOREVER x3 After seeing this screenshot I couldn't resist drawing Maia into it, especially since poor Knuckie doesn't have anyone taking care of him in the original scene D:
