Chapter 1: Hidden Away
(Ink Sans’s Point of View)

I was making my normal rounds of the Timelines, making sure they are all stable and no anomalies are present. Being the protector of the AUs, it’s my job to make sure the timeline remains stable. I’ve been able to keep them safe for as long as I can remember, although… some could say I’ve been failing in my duties recently. Error Sans has been able to destroy two AUs as far as I can tell, Underfell and Horrortale. Besides the fact that both AUs have disappeared off my radar, characters from those AUs have been piling up in the Original Timeline, causing the integrity of the OT to weaken. It’s still stable enough, but I fear for the future, if Error keeps this up, then there may not be a Timeline left to defend. I need to find a way to stop Error, preferably to capture him… but if it comes down to it, I may have to destroy him. That is, if the OT does not kill him first… the people from the OT, including the AUs who have been destroyed, have already fought against Error in the past. Fell Chara was almost killed yesterday, luckily myself and Classic Undyne were able to rescue her, but she’s in a bad way. I can only hope she recovers.
As I finished checking the Underswap AU, it was time to go back to the Creative Realm and give Dream Sans my report, but my Multiverse scanner suddenly started to pick something up. I pulled it off my belt, which was really just a tablet with some fancy programming installed on it, and started flipping through the data. I tried to pinpoint the location of the sudden spike. Then I found it… and to my surprise… it was another Undertale timeline…. Not an AU. I was confused at first, considering that when Error froze the Multiverse, he ended up destroying all secondary Undertale timelines, leaving only one, true original left. I clipped the tablet back to my belt and teleported myself to this Lost Timeline, hidden away in the dark corner of the Multiverse.
When I reached the Lost Timeline, I ended up in Showdin Town…. The only problem was, nobody was around. A dark, heavy fog covered the Town and made it hard to see much of anything. It looked like everyone just disappeared, without a trace. I started exploring around, still with no luck. When I reached the entrance to Waterfall, I heard faint crying. I broke into a sprint, and followed the sound. As I ran, I noticed even the Echo Flowers were nowhere to be seen. Then, as I reached Sans’s sentry post, I saw a girl… huddled over a small blue flower, wiping tears from her eyes. The girl saw me out of the corner of her eyes, and suddenly smiled wide. She stood up, and and just stood there, smiling, but she was still crying. When she spoke, I could not believe what I was hearing.
“Oh, h...hello! My Name is… C...Chara. What’s yours?” Chara asked, wiping her eyes again… I could not believe it. I quickly brought out my tablet and looked up the Timeline I found myself in. And there it was, in big, bold, red text, the label GENOCIDE TIMELINE flashed on the screen. I put the tablet away, and was about to respond, when suddenly Error Sans himself appeared beside me.
*“Suh dude?” Error laughed to himself, but not in a evil way.
*“Error! What the hell?” I snapped, crossing my arms. Chara gasped.
*“What? It’s a normal human greeting, right?” Error replied, smiling. I just facepalmed.
“I… never heard that one before. Then again, I haven’t seen a human for a while. Y… you look like someone…” Chara started to shiver, looking like she’s seen a ghost.
*“Probably because we are Sanses.” Error commented.
*“But not the one you know!” I added, still a little on edge with having Error here.
*“Hey, didn't I just fight you?” Error asked, rubbing his chin.
*“Different timeline, Error.” I turned to face him.
*“But I froze them all!” Error snapped.
*“That does not mean they all just died off!” I snapped back.
*“If only right?” Error chuckled to himself. I just grinded my teeth and crossed my arms.
"Well... I know there's more than my own timeline out there... and hopefully ones where I never harmed anyone... but uh... I'm not sure exactly what you mean by froze them all. As in stopped them temporarily correct?" Chara asked, sharing glances between myself and Error.
*“Froze as in no more resets.” Error corrected.
*“Only so you could destroy them all!” I shouted.
*“They deserved it.” Error rolls his eyes.
*“NO THEY DON'T!” I yelled, balling my fists. Chara started to look nerves.
“Stop fighting! Both of you! And no destroying anything! It’s fun at first but then the guilt hits you!” Chara looked like she was about to cry again. I relaxed and took a deep breath.
*“I’m sorry Chara, just someone has troubles keeping their anger in…” I gave Error a sly look, who just shrugged.
“Well, it’s fine. I don’t wanna lose another Sans, not after meeting the both of you!” Chara replied. “There has to be something that you two can do to make this anger more controllable…” Chara rubbed her chin, thinking… then finally snapped. “Trust falls!” Chara lit up, smiling wide.
*“What?” Error looked confused.
*“Oh no…” I muttred.
“It’s simple, one stands on a ledge and the other stands below them. The one on the edge falls and the one below has to catch them! It’s simple, and fun! Unless… er… they don’t catch you… he he…” Chara explained.
*“Wa… like I’d EVER catch this worthless trash!” Error scoffed.
*“Like you're any better!” I snapped.
“Hey! You two should ugh… how did that line go again? Oh yeah…. Hug it out, not fight it out!” Chara took a step towards me, and Error scowled.
*“Like I’d ever make contact with him!” Error crossed his arms.
*“Oh suck it up!” I rolled my eyes.
“Hug it out! Not fight it out! So… er… hug!” Chara pushed me towards Error, and Error jumped back. His blasters kicked in and fired a blast at me. I quickly teleported away last second. I knew he couldn't be trusted... he was just waiting for the perfect to surprise attack me.
*“I knew I couldn't trust this guy!” I mumbled under my breath. I managed to keep my cool, but Chara was just about ready to run away.
“S… stop fighting you two! I don’t care who’s the evil one! But if you attack each other I’m… going with the calm one!” Chara whimpered and hid behind me. Now I’m not only fighting for my own survival, but Chara’s as well. I grinded my teeth.
*“I’m not doing this here Error, this Timeline has seen enough bloodshed, keep the fighting to the Multiverse… hell, even the OC!” I shouted, holding my ground. Chara took a step back.
“Error… stop… please… I don’t know you, but you can’t be that bad! I don’t know why you mean to harm yourself, but don’t do it! If you do I’m gonna hug you to oblivion!” Chara shook her head and crossed her arms.
*“I wouldn't approach him, if you want your soul in once piece!” I warned. Chara shook her head and kept her ground.
“My soul has been shattered many times…. I kept coming back… even though it was… Ink what do I do??” Chara looked desperately at me. I dodged another bone barrage and started thinking.
*“Stay back, and for the love of Asgore, don’t get captured by his strings! You’ll never get free and he’ll drag you to his lair in the multiverse… understand?” I replied. Chara nodded and reached into her pocket, pulling out her knife.
“I… I haven’t had to use this… in… so long…” Chara stared at the blade, her hand trembling.
*“As long as you stay back, you won't have to. Only fight if he attacks you, I’ll hold him off and wait for a opportunity to teleport us away, got it?” I took out my paintbrush and whacked one of Error’s blasters in the face with it.
“Got it! I’ll be sure to stay safe! Just Remember me!” Chara nodded, and took a step back, reading herself. I turned to face Error, who laughed.
*“Aint this cute, even the both of you combined can’t stop me!” Error shouted. He fired another blaster shot at me, I managed to teleport behind him and hit him in the back with a barrage. Error sidestepped, and fired another beam at me. I rolled to the right and fired a full barrage, Error got hit but he has more than enough HP to last.
“Agh… what about the turns and the battle menu…! UGH! I need to help… but how…?” Chara growled to herself. Error tried capturing me with his strings, but because I have no soul, it did not work. I shoved the strings aside.
*“Whatever you do, just be careful!” I shouted back to Chara. Chara suddenly got an idea, she picked up a rock and tossed it at Error.
“It’s ok Ink, I’ll be safe! He he…!” Chara laughed, tilting her head a bit. I already knew what was happening, I had to stop this fight before Chara snaps. Error melted the rock with a blaster shot.
*“Keep it up kid, and that will be your soul!” Error yelled.
*“Not if I can help it!” I shouted back. Chara kept throwing rocks.
“I’m giving you an opportunity, use it Ink!” Chara shouted at me. I nodded, and fired a full orange barrage at Error, who was to distracted to move. He got hit, full force, and stumbled back. Dust kicked up around us as Error yelled, and opened his portal.
*“Next time, it will be a fair fight!” Error shouted. After the dust settled, it was me and Chara, alone in the Lost Genocide Timeline.
*“Hey, quick thinking kid. Nice work.” I turned back to Chara and smiled. She smiled back and put her knife away.
“Y… you're gonna be ok, right?” Chara asked. I knelt beside her and placed a hand gently on her shoulder.
*“Yes, I’ll be fine. But what about you? You seem lonely here.” I replied. Chara suddenly looked sad as she started at the ground.
“Well... it's certainly lonely with them all gone... but I... I really am lonely.. hey but you have others to tend to right? Don't worry! I-I'll be fine, just.. think of me a few times!” Chara replied, looking back up to me. She tried to smile, but she was crying again.
*“Hey, stop crying, alright? Listen, I got some friends in another timeline… I’m sure they can take you in!” I offered.
"But.. I'm not sure that is smart, I'm meant to stay in my timeline, not go in one with another me right? O-or.. or is it that... I did something terrible that got me erased there.. I don't want to mess with time. But I don't want to be lonely!” Chara replied, and hugged me tightly, crying into my shoulder. “M… maybe just a visit?” She added.
*“We all have dark pasts, that's how we learn. The only thing is, they are dealing with troubled times as well. I will mention you to C.Sans, the original Sans, and after his friend get's better, I will take you to him. Does that sound ok? I can't imagine what your going through here.” I replied, hugging her back.
“T… that’s an awesome idea! I thought I was gonna have to be alone forever, with nothing but my regrets!” Chara lit up, let me go and wiped her tears away. “And… if you want to know what it’s like for me… even Frisk is gone from this timeline… I… I killed them all…” Chara added.
*“Dame… and because Error froze the time- wait a second! Human souls can persist after death, right? Frisk is probably still here, but just a ghost!” I offered. Chara rubbed her chin.
“Y-yeah but... after what happened she wouldn't come back to me... not after what I've done, but I'm changed so... should I…?” Chara was about to cry again, but I cut her off.
*“And my friends have some determination locked away in the Original Timeline, we can recreate her body!” I added.
“Ok, we can try…” Chara decided and turned to look at the empty timeline. “Friiiiiiiiiiiiisk! Please… come back!” Chara called out… but nobody came.
*“Frisk, it’s me, Ink Sans, protector of the AUs, you can trust me, Chara has changed.” I called out. Suddenly, the air beside Chara shimmered and there she was, the Frisk of the Lost Genocide Timeline. He had her arms crossed and a unimpressed look on her ghostly face.
“H...has she really changed?” Frisk asked with doubt in her voice.
“Yea! I have totally changed! I know how you wanted me to... to be good! I listened!” Chara replied, walking beside her.
*“Frisk, you know Chara has a lot more Lv. then me, if she wanted to, she would've killed me by now, wouldn't you agree?” I commented. Frisk nodded.
“Your right! Oh my gosh I never thought that she actually would! But... still I have no body!” Frisk replied… looking to Chara… “You kind of… b… but it’s ok, right?” She added.
“I know… but Ink said he’d help, he’s gonna fix this!” Chara replied.
*“Frisk, in another timeline I’ve been visiting a lot, they have determination stored there. Classic Chara used this to reform his own body, and with Classic Sans’s permission, you can too!” I explained.
“You… you mean that… it wouldn't be such a bad ending… after all?” Frisk asked. I nodded. “Oh my god Chara… you're new friend is amazing!” Frisk shouted. Frisk tried to hug me, but she phased right through. I turned around to face her and laugh.
“You know, I also have another ghost friend, Horror Chara. I’ll mention you two to him. He’s alot older, but Ghosts can travel through timelines with ease, I’m sure he’d love to meet you!” I smiled wide.
“That would be so cool!” Frisk replied.
“I was getting to that, but you know… it’s the first time we’ve seen eachother for a long time.” Chara added.
“For now, I should return to the OC, and tell C.Sans of this. Hopefully I can arrange a visit. Stay here for now, ok? I’m sure you have a lot of catching up to do!” I explained.
“Yeah, and a lot to show each other I bet.” Chara replied.
“Feel free to visit us again!” Frisk smiled. Chara hugged me again.
*“Yu bet I will, but for now I must go. Stay safe you two, ok?” I replied, returning the hug.
“We will!” The both of them replied.
“Thank you so much!” Frisk added.
*“You're welcome, now if you see Error again, call me ASAP, ok? DO NOT attack him.” I explained. The two nodded.
“Ok… do you have a phone or something?” Frisk asked.
*“No need for phones, just THINK of me and I’ll show up.” I replied.
“Okay!” Frisk replied.
“You better believe I’ll be taking care of my Frisk!” Chara added. Frisk smiled and looked away, blushing out of embarrassment. I laughed and opened a rainbow portal behind me, and I stepped into it.
*“Stay safe you two!” I shouted before closing it. What a crazy turn of events this day has given… but the protector's life never rests!

Chapter 2: Sudden News
(Classic Sans’s Point of View)

By the time me and my brother got to the house, everyone was already awake. Just a minute later, F.Sans and F.Papyrus showed up… and of course F.Frisk ran up and gave F.Sans a big hug. And after that, C.Undyne came rushing in the house.
“Hey… oh good I did not miss anything.” She panted and caught her breath. Even H.Chara showed, appearing behind the couch.
“Heya everyone, H.Frisk couldn't come so he sent me over to make sure F.Chara is ok. Ink Sans told us what happened.” He explained.
“Well, now that everyone’s here, now what?” F.Asriel asked, sitting up. Suddenly, everyone turned to look out the window, where a rainbow portal formed and Ink Sans himself wandered out. He waved at us as the portal closed behind him.
“Wow, even Ink Sans showed up?” F.Frisk asked, waving back. Ink Sans walked in the door soon after.
*“Hey everyone, nice to see you all without the threat of Error Sans looming over us.” He smiled as he entered.
*“Heya.” I waved.
“Howdy!” Both C.Frisk and C.Asriel said in unison, then suddenly blushed at each other. Ink Sans chuckled.
*“Hey ah… Classic, can I talk to you for a moment… outside..?” Ink Sans looked to me.
*“Ugggh… sure I guess…” I followed him outside, I could hear the others beginning to talk as I closed the door. *“So, what’s up?” I asked, crossing my arms.
*“Ok, so earlier today, as I was patrolling the multiverse, I found a old, hidden timeline. It turns out this was a Undertale timeline, a leftover, if you will.” Ink explained.
*“A leftover?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
*“Yes, when Error Sans froze the timelines, he destroyed all secondary Undertale Timelines, leaving this one as the only true original left. But he forgot this one… but you're not gonna like the reason. This lost timeline was the leftover of a genocide Timeline, unable to be reset because of Error’s actions.” Ink Replied.
*“So you mean you found a fully maxed out Chara sitting in a empty timeline..?!?” I snapped.
*“Yes, I can see the suspicion involved with this, but hear me out… when I talked to this…. N.Chara we’ll call her, she was very regretful. She wants to change the way she is. I mean, two years alone will break even the strongest of wills. Then N.Frisk showed up… N.Chara killed her, but because humans can persist after dying, she became a ghost. N.Frisk forgave N.Chara almost immediately, it was very heartwarming… almost made me cry.” Ink explained.
*“Alright, alright… I’ll give her a change. But you better believe I’ll be keeping an eye on her, both of them.” I sighed.
*“Yes, that’s entirely understandable. I promised them I’d help in any way I can, and this will be good for them.” Ink smiled wide.
*“I guess we should break the news to the others…” I looked back at the door.
*“You sure that’s a good idea… because ya know, they are dealing with so much already.” Ink commented.
“And what? You think leaving this to a surprise is a better idea?” I slightly snapped.
“Alright, alright… I get ya. Let’s go tell them.” Ink held up his hands. I rolled my eyes and we both walked back into the house. Just in time, too.

Chapter 3: Rise and Shine
(Fell Frisk’s point of view)

As Ink and Classic Sans were walking back in the house, the rest of us were eating breakfast. C.Asriel downed his third bowl of Temmie Flakes (it’s not cardboard anymore, but still disgusting) and C.Frisk and C.Chara had leftovers from yesterday. F.Papyrus made pasta that the rest of us had. As we were eating and talking, F.Asriel’s ears perked up.
“What was that?” He asked, looking around.
“I didn't hear anything… you sure you're ok, F.Asriel?” Aliza commented.
“F.Chara maybe?” C.Chara offered… suddenly the noise got louder. And low and behold, F.Chara sat up on the couch, coughing heavily.
“Oh crap! He have to help her… what do we go?” F.Asriel jumped. Aliza suddenly ran over to F.Chara and started a healing spell.
“It’s alright Chara, I got ya.” Aliza kept the healing as the rest of us quickly put our dishes away and gathered around F.Chara. After Aliza was done the healing and F.Chara relaxed, I patted my sister on the shoulder.
“So, you're finally awake.” I smiled. F.Chara looked around, a little confused but that was probably because of the shock.
“Y… you're all here… f… for me?” F.Chara asked between breaths. We all nodded.
“Of course! We are here for you, no matter what the bastard Error says!” Aliza commented.
“Yeah, no way I’m giving up on you, girl!” C.Undyne damn near shouted.
“Well, now that you're awake, I’m gonna head for a bath downstairs.” C.Chara waved and left.
“You should've seen F.Asriel when he heard you got kidnapped.” I remarked. Suddenly, F.Asriel’s cheeks went bright red.
“H… hey! Really?” He stuttered.
“What do you mean?” F.Chara asked.
“And when he got home, ooooooooh boy he was really pissed off at Error.” C.Frisk added, F.Asriel’s face went a darker shade of red.
“He said he was gonna rip Error apart for what he did to you, and hot damn was he serious or what?” Aliza giggled.
*“Yeah, he really did mean that, for sure.” C.Sans and Ink Sans returned to the group. F.Chara then did something none of us expected. She kissed F.Asriel oh the cheek, who just fainted.
“Duuuuuh… head spinning….” F.Asriel mumbled.
“Hey, Aliza, I think he needs some healing.” C.Frisk nugged Aliza with his elbow. Everyone bursted out laughing. After F.Asriel recovered and stood back up, F.Chara smiled.
“Hey, Bro?” F.Chara asked.
“Yeah…?” F.Asriel replied, still a little winded.
“Thanks, for being by my side.” F.Chara smiled again. F.Asriel just nodded and sat back down.
*“Now with that out of the way, myself and Classic here has something to say.” Ink Sans announced.
*“I’ll let him do all the talking…” C.Sans commented.
“Well, what it is?” F.Chara asked, and we all sat there, the suspense filling the air.
*“Well, I found a lost Undertale timeline on my recent patrol of the multiverse…” Ink started.
“Alright, how many are coming?” C.Frisk asked.
“That’s the first thing you ask?” I giggled.
“Jesus, let him finish.” F.Chara butted in.
*“Anyway… there are only two in this timeline. N.Chara and N.Frisk, which stands for Nice Chara and Nice Frisk. The reason for this, and for the fact that this Timeline has gone so long without being noticed, it’s because it is a genocide timeline. N.Chara killed everyone, including N.Frisk. N.Frisk however, is a ghost. N.Chara is full of regrets, and wishes to change her ways.” Ink explained. We all kinda stood there, letting it sink in.
“You mean we have a fully maxed out Chara who wants to come here?” F.Chara broke the silence.
*“If Ink Sans speaks so highly of them, I'll trust him… for now.” C.Sans commented.
“I hope he understands that we’ll have to keep a sharp eye on them, make sure they don’t try anything… for the first couple days, anyway.” F.Asriel shrugged.
“Yes, I completely understand, and expect any suspicion you may have of them.” Ink Sans concluded. With that settled, I looked around… and apparently H.Chara left, and he missed F.Chara waking up. I’m sure he had a reason for it, but I will wish he could've been here.

Chapter 4: Horror’s Visit
(Horror Chara’s Point of View)

Alright, alright... I’ll admit I completely ditched everyone at the house. I might of overheard Ink’s and C.Sans’s conversation about the Lost Genocide Timeline and got a little curious. And because I’ma ghost, I can travel the multiverse with ease. I mean not like I was leaving F.Chara alone as she recovers, cause she has a room full of people supporting her. I don’t even think they noticed me leave, anyway. Regardless, I appeared at the entrance to Showdin and the whole damn place looked like a ghost town… er… no pun intended. I looked around the entrance, but I couldn't see very much… not only because of the heavy fog, but it also started snowing. I was about to enter the town when I noticed a couple dark shadows approaching… and out of force of habit, I summoned my ghost sword and held it up.
“Hey, I see you out there! I’m warning you, don’t come any closer!” I shouted. The figures took one last step before stopping, becoming visible. And I noticed that they looked like Chara and Frsk, just another female set of them, like F.Chara and F.Frisk.
“Ugh… I’m Chara and this here beside me is Frisk!” What did Ink call them… N.Chara and N.Frisk? Anyway, N.Frisk just waved, eyeing my sword. I let it go and it disappeared into the air like a cloud.
“Oh shit… sorry about that. I did not notice who you were.” I apologised. N.Chara just shook her head and smiled.
“It’s ok, it’s just been a while since anyone visited us. Anyway, I’m guessing Ink sent you, correct?” She asked.
“Well… not quite. I over heard his and C.Sans’s conversation, and thought I’d pay a visit myself. Being a ghost, I can travel with ease.” I explained. N.Chara rubbed her chin.
“Whoa… another ghost huh? That means we can do so much together!” N.Frisk smiled.
“Well, I’d offer you a warm welcome here… but I don’t know about you two, but I’m still a human and I’m FREEZING!” N.Chara started to shiver.
“Ok, maybe we should head back inside, for you.” I chuckled. N.Chara nodded and lead the way back towards what I assumed to be the Skeleton’s house. As we were walking, N.Frisk walked beside me.
“She cleaned up a bit in the house… even moved a sock. He he.” N.Frisk giggled.
“Wait you mean… THE sock? Oh boy… Papyrus would be so proud.” I relied, laughing a bit.
“It was kinda like a sorry to the two, you know? Like she wanted to say it to them in person… but… ya know…” N.Frisk’s face suddenly went sad, then I remembered that I was in a Genocide Timeline. N.Chara then opened the door and all three of us walked inside.
“So, who’s sleeping on the couch tonight?” N.Chara asked.
“Wait… I’m staying?” I suddenly replied… and I kinda regretted the words after. It did seem kinda harsh, considering what N.Chara went through.
“Well… you don’t have too… I just thought maybe you’d wanna stay for a bit!” N.Chara looked embarrassed
“Someone’s lonely.” N.Frisk muttred.
“Sh-shush Frisk! Maybe just a little.. so sorry for yellin" N.Chara looked down and sighed.
“I mean, I have a wounded friend back home. I wanna be there for her, but I guess I can stay a bit. Not overnight though, sorry.” I explained.
“It’s ok… I understand if it’s your friend and you put them first.” N.Chara smiled.
“Wait… you gotta teach me how to travel through timelines! I won't follow you or anything, I just wanna explore!” N.Frisk begged.
“I mean, teleportation is a bit more advanced, even for a ghost. We gotta start out small.” I replied.
“Ok, let’s do it then! Ugh… I’m sure Chara will be ok on her own for now…” N.Frisk muttred.
“Will you be ok on your own for awhile, Chara?” I asked.
“I mean… yeah I should be fine. I just need her back in three hours, ok?” N.Chara replied.
“It’s alright, we’ll be right outside.” I smiled and both myself and N.Frisk went outside. We ended up talking about possessing people and objects and levitation. We even did a small three lap race around Snowdin… I did win by a lot but N.Frisk was not too bad. After we were done, we ended up sitting around the house again, talking… but then N.Frisk took a worried turn.
“You don't think that they will crush her do you..?” She asked, looking back to the house. She smiled softly at N.Chara as she waved at us.
“We have three Charas' back home, including myself. As long as she stays true to her change, she will be ok.” I replied, patting N.Frisk on the shoulder. She slowly nodded.
“I don’t know… I’m worried for her…” N.Frisk looked over to N.Chara, who was shivering in the snow again and sighed. N.Chara noticed and walked over.
“Sorry… I just saw you two run off and did not know what happened!” N.Chara explained.
“We just had a race around Snowdin, we are fine.” I replied.
“Oh! I-I'm sorry about being s-so worried. I need to go and get something from a farm. Stay safe y-you two.” N.Chara explained and started walking off.
“O-oh. In that case hurry back! I’m not sure how much longer H.Chara will stay around.” N.Frisk shouted back as we both watched her leave.
“I hope she stays safe out there…” I admitted.
“I’m sure she’ll be ok.” N.Frisk replied. I nodded and we went back to talking about crazy ghost powers.

Chapter 5: That Was Sudden…
(Fell Chara’s Point of View)

“Yeah, I can do that too!” C.Frisk smirked as he suddenly did something none of us was expecting… he grabbed C.Asriel by the shoulder and kissed him… legitimately… on the lips… C.Asriel just sat there, his face bright red. I have no idea what just happened, Aliza kissed C.Chara because...well, they're a couple, it’s what couples do. But I have no idea what just happened with C.Frisk.
“Oh boy…” F.Asriel muttred.
“That’s… something….” F.Frisk scratched the back of her head.
“What?” C.Frisk asked, confused. Ink Sans, C.Sans, and C.Undyne just stood there, not knowing how to react.
“I don’t think you know what EXACTLY you did there, C.Frisk… like what that just meant to C.Asriel.” I offered.
“Jezz… sorry… maybe we should talk about that later.” C.Frisk turned to C.Asriel, who just nodded. F.Asriel whispered something in C.Frisk’s ear, and his eyes went wide. “Ok, we DEFINITELY need to talk about that… later…” He added.
“Well, it’s kinda cute actually.” C.Undyne admitted. I rolled my eyes, considering the fact I still feel that same hole in my heart… that special someone I’ve been missing since arriving in the OT.
*“Oh, well… look at the time! I gotta go…!” Ink Sans backed towards the door.
*“Leaving so soon?” C.Sans laughed.
“Come on, you still haven’t told me you're part in the rescue!” I insteted.
*“I’m not getting outta this, am I?” Ink sighed.
*“No, you're not… welcome to our life, enjoy your stay.” C.Sans replied, everyone laughed.
*“Oh boy…” Ink muttred.
*“And you caught them on a quiet day.” C.Sans chuckled.
*“Trust me, it get’s worse than this.” F.Sans chimed in.
“Okay, but really… what happened? How was I rescued?” I asked.
“Well, after you're main fight with Error outside the Blacksite, myself, F.Sans, and C.Sans heard you call out for help. We tried our best to find you, but we were too late… we ended up calling Ink for help. We then agreed to have one person follow Ink to Error’s lair, where he had you locked away. I volunteered personality… I never let anyone hurt one of my friends and get away with it.” C.Undyne explained.
“Wow… I… I can’t believe it… thank you, both of you. I- I’ll never forget what you two did for me.” I replied, tearing up.
*“Hey, C.Undyne did most of the hard work, fighting off Error. I just unlocked a losey spell that had you trapped in Error’s cell.” Ink added.
“Oh come on, it was a team effort.” C.Undyne laughed and punched Ink lightly on the shoulder.
“Still… fighting Error alone is scary… I learned that the hard way.” I admitted.
“Don’t worry about it girl, it’s what friends are for.” C.Undyne winked at me. I smiled back and wiped away the tears that formed in my eyes.
“Well, I guess someone should tell C.Chara about what happened with this Lost Genocide Timeline.” C.Frisk said.
“Go ahead, I ain’t walking in there when he’s bathing.” F.Asriel laughed. C.Frisk rolls his eyes and walked downstairs. A couple minutes later, he returned with C.Chara following behind him, wearing a towel.
“Hey, good to see you're feeling better, F.Chara. Now, what’s this about a Genocide Chara and a Ghost Frisk possibly joining us?” C.Chara asked.
*“We had a whole conversation about it. Don’t worry, she’s changed.” Ink replied.
“If anything goes wrong, we fought Error before, I’m sure we can deal with some kid.” C.Undyne commented.
“Let’s hope it does not come to that…” F.Frisk sighed. We all nodded our agreement.
*“Anyway, I must go tell N.Chara and N.Frisk the good news, farewell everyone!” Ink waved at us. We all waved back as he walked outside, opened a portal, and walked though. The portal closed behind us and we all took a collective deep breath.
“Gee, I wonder what else I missed…” C.Chara asked.
“Well, C.Frisk did kiss C.Asriel…” F.Asriel replied.
“COME ON!” C.Frisk shouted, C.ASriel’s face went red again. C.Chara bursted out laughing.
“Awwwww ain’t that cute!” C.Chara smirked sarcastically.
“Just shut up…” C.Frisk gave him a death glare. Just then I felt a familiar chill go down my spine… the presence of another Chara returned as H.Chara reappeared behind the couch.
“Awwwww I missed the big event?” H.Chara sighed.
“THE BOYS KISSED!” C.Chara shouted.
“I swear to god I’m gonna beat you!” C.Frisk grinded his teeth.
“You can beat OFF C.Asriel later, bro. He he he he” C.Chara laughed.
“Jesus Christ… looks like I missed more than I thought.” H.Chara chuckled.
“Where ya been, H.Chara?” I asked H.Chara.
“I was in the Lost Genocide Timeline, I overheard Ink’s and C.Sans’s conversation and got a little curious… and by god, that N.Chara really did change.” H.Chara replied.
“Well, spending two years alone can make any man… or girl… rethink life.” Aliza chimed in.
“I’m still suspicious.” C.Chara admitted.
“I think we ALL are.” I corrected him.
*“Anyway… me and F.Paps gotta head back to the Blacksite.” F.Sans walked over to the door.
“Awwww! Okay, bye Sans… I love you!” F.Frisk blew a kiss to F.Sans.
“I love you more, Frisk. Later!” F.Sans caught the kiss and winked, teleporting away. As much as I’d hate to jinx us, but things are finally looking up for us

Chapter 6: A Dream Come True
(Nice/Regret Frisk’s Point of View)

Myself and N.Chara decided to head outside and play in the snow for a bit. And thankfully she had a sweater to bring outside with her, being a ghost I did not have to worry about temperature. I told N.Chara is was time to make a snowman really happy, and she immediately knew what I was talking about. We were having the time of our lives, despite the circumstances… being alone in an empty, dusty timeline. As much as I’m happy to see N.Chara changed like this, I’m worried for her… Ink Sans is trying to get us into the Original Timeline and… well, you can probably guess.
As N.Chara was just finishing the snowman, I saw a familiar rainbow poral appear beside the Skeleton’s house. I turned to look at it, a huge smile growing on my face. N.Chara noticed what I was staring at and stood up beside me.
“Is that what I think it is…?” She asked, squinting to see past the snow that was beginning to fall.
“I’m pretty sure it is! Maybe he can help us decorate the snowman!” I replied. Sure enough, Ink Sans emerged from the portal and it closed behind him. He smiled and waved at us, and we both rushed over to him. N.Chara immediately gave him a huge hug.
“Hey Ink, how you been?” N.Chara asked, I just stood beside the two, smiling.
*“I’ve been good, I just finished my cheek of the Storyshift AU. How have you two been?” Ink replied, returning the hug.
“We’ve been good! The ghost guy visited us… he was reaaally nice! He was going to teach N.F how to go through timelines but we ended up uh... going on an adventure…” N.Chara started, but her voice trailed off.
“N.C collapsed near an echo flower crying... we ended up going to soothe her. But, still fun!” I finished the explanation.
“Oh my goodness, are you ok Chara? Bad memories are hard to get rid of, huh?” Ink gasped.
“Y-yeah... really bad and hard to get rid of... but, uh, N.Frisk and I made a sn-snowman this morning so that's good!” N.Chara replied, I could tell she was holding back tears.
“Oh yeah.. we did indeed make a snowman, well she made it and I helped her because I remember how it looked.” I added, looking over to him.
“Can you help us finish it? It's just missing the nose!” N.Chara smiled. Ink Sans looked over the snowman, and smiled himself.
“I see you made a snowman very happy.” Ink winked, and I finally got the reference after thinking about it.
“It was actually N.F's idea! I went along with it because I thought I should try to repay the snowman.. I did my best.” N.Chara replied.
*“Well, I see you two have been busy. However, I just came back from the Original Timeline.” Ink explained. N.Chara looked around nervously, then at me.
“I’m only going if Chara does.” I stated.
*“Well, They have agreed to take you in... but you have to understand that are feeling a bit nerves.” Ink replied, getting serious.
“I-I understand.. oh! I forgot to do something I should have a while ago…” N.Chara suddenly took her knife out of her pocket, then threw it far… far away.
“You just made yoursel-” I started… but was cut off by N.Chara picking up a random nearby stick. I looked at her, a little confused.
“This feels right, you know?” N.Chara smiled at me, hugging the stick.
“Are you trying to be how I was…?” I asked her, scratching the back of my neck. Ink used his magic to stop the knife mid air, and drag int towards him until he was holding it… staring deep into the blade, as if he was remembering the story attached to it. His grip tighten on it, then he relaxed a bit. I could tell he was a bit uneasy holding the knife, being a Sans.
*“Chara, I understand that you don't want this... but understand this… The other timeline, the humans there, are locked in a war... having a tiny stick will not defend you well… versus the Xcom forces there, their armor is too thick to use a stick on, you need a better weapon to defend yourself.” Ink explained, now fully serious. I could almost feel the air around me go tence, the mood darkening.
“B-but... I don't want to hurt anyone anymore, I-I understand that they may be powerful.. but even I…” N.Chara was starting to tear up.
“Is it because you can’t trust yourself not to hurt anyone, anymore?” I offered. N.Chara nodded slowly.
“Well... maybe it's that I don't want to have the option to…” N.Chara clutched the stick. Ink Sans knelt down, and held the knife by the blade, offering the handle to N.Chara.
*“But remember, in the other timeline, you’ll have friends to fall back on, people who WILL fight alongside you. So even if you have to fight, it will not be as hard.” Ink Smiled, still holding the knife.
“I hope you're right…” N.Chara sighed and took the knife, but also put the stick in her inventory as well. “Does not hurt to have it…” She added. In nodded, and stood back up.
*“Well, do you two have any unfinished business to attend to? Or shall we go?” Ink asked.
“E-even after all this time apart we both have the same wish huh? I-I think we're both ready.” N.Chara looked over to me.
“Yeah... but mine was partially granted already... I'm ready to go.” I replied, then I reached out and placed my hand over to the same place N.Chara had her’s, as if we were holding hands.
“Ready!” We both said in unison.
*“Well, I gotta call C.Sans, make sure they are ready on their side. Sit tight, it should not take long.” Ink turned around and sent some kinda mental message to the Original Timeline. As we were waiting, N.Chara whispered something in my ear. I nodded and possessed her, but let her be in control of her own body. It’s kinda a thing we do to help us relax, sure it is weird to some people, but it worked for us… that’s all that matters. After Ink was done, he turned back around but looked confused. *“Wer’d Frisk go?” He asked. I jumped out of N.Chara’s body and giggled.
“Present!” I replied, still giggling.
“She was possessing me.” N.Chara explained. Ink laughed.
*“Well, I just finished talking to C.Sans, we will meet us outside the settlement’s main house, you both ready?” Ink explained. I once again pretended to hod N.Chara’s hand.
“I don’t think I’ll ever be ready… but I feel nerves all of a sudden.” N.Chara started to sweat.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be here with you!” I comforted her. “And if you feel too nervous, I can possess you again, alright?” I added.
“Yeah… ugh, before we go… do you think there's anything we should know, Ink? N.Chara replied, turning to Ink.
*“Hummm…. Well there's the Xcom-Advent war. The monsters are allied with Advent, so if you don’t attack them you should be fine.” Ink explained.
“A war huh? Well I'm sure I can avoid it for a while... I hope so at least. Well, goodbye old place…” N.Chara looked back towards the empty timeline. I also looked around, and closed my eyes… for a brief moment I could see how it was like before it all happened. A bright, colourful, vibrant place full of people. The Innkeeper doing her thing, the Librarian complaining about the sign, and of course the Skelebros…. For a brief moment I felt happy, then I was shot back into reality as my eyes opened… the dull, gray, dead town lay before me.
“I don't know whether to miss it or not, but I think we're finally ready now.” I sighed and both myself and N.Chara turned back to Ink.
*“I’d say we could always visit again, but I don’t even think the Timeline would be stable enough after you two leave. Also, Error may destroy it… I’m sorry.” Ink suddenly looked sad, like he failed us in some way.
“You don't have anything to be sorry about, Ink, we just met you yesterday and you've already done so much for us!” I reassured him.
“Even after knowing of what.... I did... you still chose to help, you didn't even have to save me from Error.” N.Chara added.
*“Everyone deserves a 2nd chance to repaint their life in a brighter way.” Ink replied, still sounding a little sad.
“I just wanted to say thank you before we left... this is all possible because of you.” N.Chara hugged Ink again.
*“Oh come on kid… you're gonna make me cry…!” Ink returned the hug, holding back tears. N.Chara could not hold back her tears of joy… hugging Ink tighter. I just stood there awkwardly. *“I’d offer to make this a group hug… but.. Ya know…” Ink chuckled. I walked over and pretended to hug the two smiling.
“Doesn't mean I can't imagine it is one.” I replied. For a few moments, we just sat there, hugging… it was a peaceful moment. I felt all the pain and horror of the last couple years melt away. All of this was possible because of the will of a single skeleton, without Ink, I would of never regained my hope for a happy ending.
“Your an amazing skeleton.. I hope you know that.” N.Chara sniffled, echoing my thoughts.
“Thank you so much…” I added as we all pulled away from the hug and stood up.
*“Oh, I’m just doing my job… helping and protecting those I can.” Ink blushed.
“Still, thank you Ink! Now, let's go!” N.Chara smiled.
“Or do you wanna hug again? I giggled.
“Alright, hold on.” Ink wiped his eyes and suddenly we were all surrounded by a rainbow portal. N.Chara took this a little to literally and tried to hold onto me, but of course it failed. Ink’s laugh was the last thing I heard before we were all blinded by a bright light as we left the timeline.

Chapter 7: Regrettale
(Classic Sans’s Point of View)

I was blinded by the light of the three entering, but as my eyes adjusted, I could see them there. Ink Sans, a ghost Frisk and a very nervous looking Chara. I saw Ink point to me as the three approached.
*“Howdy.” I greeted the newcomers. N.Chara’s eyes went wide as she saw me.
“I… oh my… I…” N.Chara sturddred.
“It’s ok, he’s not gonna hurt you.” N.Frisk told N.Chara.
*“Well, I don't intent to hurt anybody… neither do you, right?” I asked.
“N-never again... I-I couldn't bring myself to do it..” N.Chara looked at me, tears forming in her eyes.
*“Hey, it’s ok… everyone deserves a second chance.” I explained. Ink stood in the backround, watching it all go down. I could see N.Frisk taking a look at the house.
“Wow… it’s so.. Different…” N.Frisk looked awe-inspired.
“I-I wanted to go back... I-I... I'm such a jerk... I'm not sure I deserve a second chance” N.Chara replied, still crying.
*“Hey, don't talk to yourself that way. You’ve proven you do, many times.” Ink chimed in, N.Chara seemed to relax a bit.
*“Well, this is the Original Timeline, what has Ink told you?” I asked.
“That there's a war going on, I remember that.” N.Chara seemed to have gotten control over herself again.
*“Yeah, we are with Advent, the good ones. Xcom are the bad guys… they caused us a lot of trouble in the past. But you should be safe here, in the settlement.” I explained. N.Frisk suddenly went… inside… of N.Chara?
“This is normal!” N.Frisk shouted from inside N.Chara’s body.
*“Hey, do you still have enough room in the house to fit them?” Ink asked me.
*“I think toriel still has one more room left.” I replied.
*“Perfect!” Ink smiled. N.Frisk flew out of N.Chara’s body and stretched.
“It's nice she doesn't mind me possessing her.” N.Frisk smiled.
“I feel like it's your body just as much as it is mine as this point.” N.Chara replied, giggling. After a bit of talking, N.Chara asked something about food, but C.Sans mentioned Toriel’s and Papyrus’s cooking, and she relaxed.
*“Good food is important.” C.Sans winked.
*“Well, are you guys gonna be ok for now? Cause Undernight still needs a checkup” I turned to N.Chara/N.Frisk.
“Yep! I'd hug you again but I think that I might have hugged too much already!” N.Chara giggled. “I’ll be fine, thanks again Ink!” She added.
*“Catch ya later, Ink. I waved as he opened a portal and entered.
*“Farewell, friends!” Ink waved back and he disappeared, the portal closing.
*“Alright, you two ready to head inside?” I asked the girls.
“Ready as I’ll ever be, I suppose…” N.Chara shrugged. N.Frisk nodded her agreement. I shrugged and opened the door for the two, lucky everyone was already in a good mood inside.
