This is some time after Mahin is exiled from his homeland and cast into slavery in a foreign land. Despite months of suffering under hard labor and poor meals, Mahin still manages to put up a fight after all hell breaks loose in prison, and he quickly finds himself fighting something much worse than mere guards or wardens.

Unfortunately, fighting tends to be difficult when all you got is a broken sword. So is running away, when ankle cuffs also happen to be not broken, gets caught on things, and rattles louder than a room full of rubber ducks and an angry sleeping person who holds a mission-critical item but also hates being woken up by total stranger in middle of the night.
