"With the late afternoon sun eventually setting in and with half an hour of park time remaining, I was stood before yet another ride. A runaway mine train ride. It had taken my parents all day to get me even close to it. I don't know what it was, but still shaking... I agreed.
I stepped into the car. The lap bar came down. I held on as tight as my claws would let me, and I shut my eyes as the long train of chatting passengers started to pull from the station. I braced for the worst as we approached the first bend.
Wind rushing through my hair, and feeling no terrible things yet, my eyes opened... The world was rushing by, almost a blur. The light uplifting feeling in my stomach as we crested bunnyhops the train got faster and faster until... A smile. Followed by a grin. Followed by a giggle! Followed by ecstatic laughter.
It had taken a whole day but in that moment, I got it. ...I still don't know how I convinced my parents to let us come back again the next day."
