For most of my artistic life I've felt overwhelmed by events and kinda missed out on 'em and all that sadness. This includes most holidays (though I went a bit nuts last Christmas) and in particular this bastard artistic event called Inktober that I've skipped out on every year up to this point.
I don't ink. I'm completely useless with paper. So I've decided that, as a vector artist, I'm going to call my contributions Vectober instead. They are still Inktober pics and I'm still tagging them as such, it's just they are not in ink and calling them this satisfies my idiosyncrasy.
By doing these tiny pictures, I hope I'll improve my ability to focus on art, continue to "feel artistic" most days or all days, and also learn to sometimes say fuggit and stop obsessing over details on an image and come back to them later or never.
SO TWO THINGS:
• My Vectober pics are mostly gonna be little icons and other petty things. Over time, I may be able to speed up my technique enough to do proper sketches each day. • Every Saturday will still be a "full image" like I've been spitting out normally, where possible.
So for Vectober 1st, have a punkin. I think the face on it turned out a bit cute. It looks like a girl punkin. Very friendly. Maybe it'll be Pepita's punkin mask.
