Iori will not tolerate your crimes, apprehended. You're given 2 choices:
Turn yourself over to the police, or be subject to his sword only to be unable to resist arrest from the police after he notifies them.
Though I haven't really designed Iori's sword & hero outfit just yet the idea is that his sword is projected from a ring, the ring can be directly used just by thought. Giving Iori the ability to summon his sword so long as he wears the ring, and the ring also requires energy. Using the sword drains it rather quick, but long enough to get the job done.
The sword itself is doesn't affect things physically, though it is possible Iori can make the sword deal actual harm. But it's usually unnecessary as the sword on contact will paralyze the afflicted enemy.
Iori will cut through his opponents, disabling them without actually causing physical harm to them.
Rendering them helpless, but conscious so long as they're not struck in the head.
Iori does indeed rely heavily on this technology in order to pursue crime-doers. Though he can not work with police personally, nor would the police approve of his vigilantism. Iori normally hides under a mask to avoid having his identity known and family put in danger.
Iori will never stop fighting to keep people safe.
