You gotta love a character so good he not only managed to change his fate in canon, but in the real world itself. Originally created to be the final villain and big bad of the Digimon Tamers series, Impmon proved to be so popular, and with a rather sympathetic point of view, that the writers found themselves scrambling to create someone else to be the monster while Impmon got a redemption arc. The trike here is supposed to be the rookie form of Behemoth, Beelzemon's badass bike. I honestly wish Impmon had gotten a proper digivolution sequence. It would have been so cool to see something like that.
