He didn't needed to be literally a robot though. Or could be the robot version of an animal. We have what 6 - from top of head, might be wrong by one or two- gods I think who are based on animals? Why not all of them? I'm not saying that just because would be nice if all were animals, but because it doesn't make sense to have some gods be animals, others being...pretty much whatever.
I won't say how much no sense is Beerus and Champa being brothers is - what so they had parents? Were they gods too? That means those two universes simply didn't had a god of destruction before they were born? So many questions! - only because they have a pass for being so hot for me, but I still can't pretend some stuff from Super bother me, like that issue about the Gods of Destruction designs.

Both the gods of destruction and the Kais are born when the universe is born, they are the very first beings to be born. Since universes 6 and 7 are twins, it makes sense for their gods to be twins as well. As for the parents, they only have one parent which is Zen-Oh, AKA the bloke who created everything we know
