This is the first...well, not "furry" exactly, but "anthro" picture that I remember drawing and could still find. This one is daaaamn old, I think from around summer of 2006. At the time, I was working on a fantasy-themed story called "Fire of the Twins", which I quit working on because I felt like there was too much outside influence and not enough of my own ideas in it.
One piece that did (kind of) survive from the story was a primitive reptilian race called the Ka'hael (pronounced Ka hay-el) that were supposed to show up in the story at some point. However, I quit working on it before they made an appearance. I pictured them as being a race that reveres combat, and who live in a place so unsuited for farming or hunting that they have to fight other tribes over resources in order to survive. The males, like this one, are all warriors; the females take care of the..."hatchlings" I guess? As well as being political and religious leaders.
Like I said, the story they were tied to has long since died, but I still like the idea of them enough that I might bring them back sometime in the future.
Anyone have any thoughts or opinions? :D
