i always thought the photoshop to be quite substandard for illustrating, bt then agani i never had a computer that could handle drawing in it. . it always felt clunky

It is actually. It's good for finishes and doing special things like textures and such but it's just waay to bloated to be a good
ACTUAL art prog. I myself prefer ArtRage. Version 5 just came out and though I haven't gotten it yet I for sure will. I've used ver. 4 for years and it's my absolute favorite art program.
