Well, with the blessing of the admins of Inkbunny, I present to you my Sonic sprite comic series! The MISAdventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Here we see my very first issue, with the comic cover made (by commission) by @4EverBacon. Whenever I make a new issue, she's always my go to person for the comic cover.
Now, here are some facts about my very 1st comic: This was made about... 2 decades ago, when I was in Junior High and High School... and it shows.
The first few ones had characters motionless, sprites at a random size, speech bubbles all over the place and not in order, and text so big, it barely was able to fit in the bubble. I also added random images from Yahoo to this and made pretty dated television references. This was also made, and I know this is going to be hard to believe, before I became I SonAmy fan. Shocking, right.
Keep in mind, also, when I made this, Sonic X had yet to begin, Sonic Riders didn't come out yet, and I was pretty lazy, hence the random robots in the 15th comic. But I also made one heck of a giant battle for my first issue, huh?
Yep, it’s my first all right... :D But, you can tell I get better as the comics continue. By the 22nd comic, I change it more into a style that would be more consistent, with the size of the characters and text altered.
The idea for this was Knuckles going on vacation from guarding the Master Emerald (for once) and leaves Sonic to watch it for him. For Sonic, that meant a chance to do whatever he wants in his house (Hidden Palace) while Knux was gone. Course, he had to bring his buddy Tails with him.
It’s not much, but hey, most popular TV shows get a rocky start before they take off as hits, right?
