I have the most bizarre relationship with Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (but I guess that's the only kind of relationship one CAN have with this series/character) There's this part of me that loves it ironically for it's sheer absurdity, another that legitimately loves the character design and respects that it's made to satire it's own culture (also the theme is kick ass) and another side of me that hates it for doing it so poorly. I've always labeled Bo-bobo as the comedy series written by someone who doesn't understand comedy! Of course I'm sure most of this is due to culture shock, as Bo-bobo is Japanese comedy in it's purest form and is so far removed from our sense of comedy that it just doesn't add up, but even then there's just a lot of "random = funny" in the series, or a very muddled attempt to be both epic and funny and it doesn't succeed at being either... in my opinion at least.
Of course, if you're one of the select few that enjoys this series, more power to you. I just always feel that the characters have a lot of potential that isn't utilized well or at all, which is a shame. Still, despite this, my ironic adoration of Bo-bobo himself and Don Patch lives on, to the point that I own merchandise and have cosplayed Bo-bobo, still ironically but I guess in the end the series was a success to some degree. Well, whatever the case I drew this and you can't return it. I've done a lot of shameful things in my life, this is one of them.
